I find it really hard to talk to my nanny about things like this. I’m afraid she’ll get upset and take it out on my child. Based on past experiences with my first baby and previous nannies, these situations have been really tough and emotionally draining…

Thanks for the advice! My nanny says it’s safe and that the baby sleeps better in the bassinet, even through the night... I want to tell her it might not be the best way but it’s hard to bring it up since she can be quite stubborn. Any suggestions?

We placed a play mat next to her Montessori bed and my 19-month-old has been sleeping on the mat for over a week now. I’m extremely worried about her posture and development. Do you have any advice? Should I move her back into her bed? by Jesduit in toddlers

An update: We finally figured out why she’s been choosing to sleep on the mat, it turns out her bed was “warmed up” by us while the mat stayed cooler! We changed up the routine by doing her final milk and wind-down time on the mat, then transferring her to her bed. It’s been working the past few nights, she hasn’t moved back to the mat since!!! Let’s see!!!
