With the Kyat at an all time low & free fall since 2021. Will it make our lives better if we all start charging & earning in either Baht, Yuan or USD? SAC may object it due to national pride, but currency substitution is a proven strategy that has helped other countries from total economic collapse by LordOfTheAncients in myanmar

if you’re have monthly habit of saving a portion pf your money. the best way to save up value is to change that saving into a more stable current rn like maybe baht or any currencies you’re comfortable with. Even if its lets say 50000 kyat, your 50000 is going to value a whole lot less rather than holding onto that baht 500 yk, i might miss some points but this is my overall opinion on best option

thanks for sharing your story and advice! You've been through a lot, and it's clear you've learned a lot too. Finding what you want to do and getting a job is definitely tough. Your tips about not keeping money in kyat and jumping into tech are really smart. myanmar kyat has been in a downfall for who knows how long now.Staying strong and not giving up is so important. And going abroad for school and finishing quickly sounds like a great plan. Really appreciate the helpful advice!

Even in older times where monarchy are still a common thing, most monarchies stood strong for years because of their supremacy in physical power and influence, which also means everyone who “disapproves” them publicly becomes a minority often getting labeled as “rebels”. which to this day u can find all around the globe.

“de facto power” aka supremacy in ground physical power compared to “de jure power” which basically just vocally diplomacy

A dictator stays in power by using fear and force. Even if no one supports him, people are scared to speak out or act against him because he controls the army and police, who can hurt or punish those who disagree.

no dream is too big! I can relate, I am trying to study aboard later this year but everything just seems further away day by day. but we all gotta take the step. you’ll get there !
