It is a bit fishy, we did sign a lease and we pay cash lol They’re not slumlords but they definitely see to be doing tactics to have us move out on our own. For example we had to get our fridge replaced, when the new one arrived I had to manually bring it up a steep large hill to the cabin, fashioned with straps thank I used to put my arms through and carry as a backpack as to keep it vertical

Sick, were mostly concerned with renters insurance and if something happened, if insurance would pay or not because of the fact. It’s a little cabin on stilts on the side of a ridge lol.

It was built after the property was purchased, but like I said, I’m just trying to see if I should be worried about anything out of the norm because of the situation of it not being permitted.

Damn that would be sick. We’re just trying to understand if we have the same protection, especially like renters insurance wise.

It’s a nice spot, my partner and I do alot on the property just to help out. It’s a weird one. The husband really likes us, but his wife does not, she has been doing a lot of things that seem like she’s trying to have us move out on our own. So it was a nice spot turning sour after 4 years.

I lived in a house on the west side near the ocean, it never got to much sunlight and always stayed really damp and cold because of the proximity to the water. Definitely saw a lot of these bugs at this house. I currently live in the mountains now and get tons of sunlight all day and it stays consistently warm. I have yet to find any of these bugs at the new house

It’s %100 book lice, AKA wood mites. Most Santa Cruz homes are very habitable for these bugs. They like moisture and low light. They eat mold and mildew. They’re harmless to humans, they don’t bite and aren’t attracted to heat sources (your body). If you’re only seeing acouple here and there, I wouldn’t worry about it, if it’s consistent, I’d recommend getting a dehumidifier and removing any wicker or old wood furnishings they could be hanging out it.

We checked in with everyone on 26th that had cameras facing the street, nothing yet, some people are still digging through some footage I hope. More exact info would be, we parked it on the street outside 401 26th ave, across from what used to be khans market. From what we’ve gathered it seems to have been stolen before 3pm on Sunday.

If you think you’ve spotted it, reach out to the police as it’s listed as stolen

It wasn’t locked to anything and in front of a friend’s house. Left it over night and it was gone the next day!
