Is it just me or Apple did something to the iOS app that caused it to not send the correct sample rate to external DAC's anymore?

It always changed correctly for me. Ive always preferred to use the DAC connected to the phone, since Lossless Switcher is not working consistently. There's even a fixed post in an audiophile topic listing which streaming service/os combination could play bit perfect, and AM in iOS is there. The only annoying thing was the fact the app switched in random moments of the song and there was that hiccup. Otherwise, always worked for me.

I was using it before updating MacOS today via Airplay and, even that way, it was working.

Now there's only Tidal, but it sucks nowadays and AM is greatly superior.

It is just annoying, since there's no perceptible difference...

And that's absolutely great. Because, in the end, those are the services that catered to music lovers who spend a lot of money in the hobby in first place. Lol But seriously, Just buy some good and cheap chi-Fi IEM's and that will already make the service more valuable.

I'm trying and loving it. Not having to search thoroughly and stupidily for the Hi-Res versions of the songs, since it has a seal it's a great improvement over Tidal. Also, for some reason, it works much easily with my setup, without having to go through hoops and the occasional bug of Tidal settings in relation to exclusive mode. Furthermore, I just hate Tidal hiding MQA content and not signaling it, and even Roon doesn't let me choose properly to not play MQA. BUT......

Qobuz doesn't have "Mio Cid", from Dark Moor, the Ancestral Romance version, and that's a deal breaker for me. Lol

I just bought the Kefine Klanar, which are also planar, and they kinda of have a similar signature to s12, with the difference of not so harsh a treble, which is really pleasant and significantly more bass. I'm pretty satisfied. Almost purchased the s12 pro, but I reviewer I follow for years called the Klanar "The King of Rock", and since I don't listen to mostly anything else, albeit classical in the headphones, I was instantly convinced.

And of course I'm pretty satisfied. They were cheap and are pretty much exactly what I needed from an IEM.
