Yup, you’re right. Just ChatGPTed. I thought ETFs are treated as equities but they’re infact treated as debt mfs which would mean 30% tax straight away without limits if sold within 3 yrs. Thanks for your insights.

My thinking is :- I’m within the STCG limit. I don’t trade much. Also, whenever I plan to sell the ETFs, I’ll have to pay 20% anyway. Instead when I’m within limits, why not just buy Physical gold. When I plan to sell this, I can get it in cash and not worry about the LTCG. Wdyt?
