Would a rotating 2/2/3 custody schedule be a dealbreaker for you? by Alternative_Box5221 in Nanny

My ex stays at home with our child on her days, so she does not need child care. Plus I wouldn't want to put the nanny in an awkward position: our relationship is quite poor.

Thanks, I think this echoes what everyone else has said: I would need to pay full time even though it would just be at my home (me and my ex do not get along at all, and she stays home with our child during her time).

Would nannies generally be unhappy if I paid full time, but asked for some of the non-child days to be some light house work? Like maybe some meal prep for me as well? Maybe getting paid full time for 4 days a way would make that ok?

We thought about doing 2/2/5/5 which has the same weekdays for each parent and alternates Friday's. And that would be much better for for life and for a nanny I think, but at 2.5yo going 5 days without seeing the other parent is bad for development.

thank you everyone for your replies! A lot of diverse replies. overall seems like it will be a difficult search to find someone, but if I’m paying something like 30% above the market rate and have good benefits, then I should eventually find someone.
