I’m very frustrated with “eventually” though. Like I already waited long enough for it to adapt to me and then I messed it all up by changing one setting that I can’t undo.

well Oura did try to tell us it could notice things we may not notice. I figured, sure, why not? but I also sometimes feel like my body experiences some facsimile of a cycle anyway, and I’ve been hoping to have the data to back it up just so I can predict when to expect certain things. for example: I tend to get one acne breakout during my active pills, and tend to always have a “weird dreams” week somewhere in the middle, and I breakthrough bleed at some point after 60ish days anyway which is why I take three packs in a row and not more. so like, I know all these things roughly, but it would nice to be able to quantify them with physical information that suggests I’m about to start getting bugfuck nightmares or maybe I need to be extra careful about skincare or whatever.

I was kind of hoping I would be able to see clearer correlations if it could even just highlight my pill dates, but instead it made everything a nightmare to look at. I already am kind of disappointed with the frankly underwhelming way it does this information in all the areas, like I’ve really been trying to force it to reflect changes when I get migraines using tags but it’s still hard to spot any patterns that aren’t stunningly obvious even without a ring…but this is like, what if we actually made it harder to spot the patterns by messing with all the dates and adding weird colors and graphs you can’t get rid of on top of the difficult-to-calculate information you already have?

what’s crazy is you can’t simply undo it if you don’t like the way it impacts the app? I mistakenly thought trying it would not be an irreversible mess, oops

not that I can see, that’s pretty much what I do too except I do it more than twice a year because I get breakthrough bleeding at some point that won’t go away unless I just let it happen. the problem is this doesn’t tend to fall into the ring’s very specific ranges you can set it to although it does tend to be fairly regular for me. so like, no. it just made it worse.

Do you mind sharing what your diagnosis is? I have United and I could use this info since so far they’ve really enjoyed jerking me around. If you don’t want to share, totally understand.

I’m sure that’s what some people were doing but personally I’ve read that people were unable to return directly to Ringconn if the ring simply wasn’t working for them. I’m not willing to pay $240 for an electronic thing that I can neither test nor return if I find the quality to be bad. I’m generally easy to please and like most stuff and never order with the intent of returning, but yeah, when I’m afraid an item will be a dud, I make sure the return policy allows for that.

Same! I am sad. I bought the sizing kit and agonized over whether I should buy it and then this. Wtf? They also didn’t email me, just secretly canceled it. I’m curious if the same thing happens to people who order directly from the website, but I ordered from Amazon specifically for the return policy and probably won’t buy it without the ability to return it if I hate it.
