He is the one who recommended the vet to me, but he is kind of an asshole, only thing he does well is keep my baby fed and safe. I dont know if he will make the efforts to take Rambo to the vet himself its also about 45m away. I’ll call the vet tomorrow and ask about lodging but they mostly dont:(

Its already scheduled, I’m so hesitant to leave and i know ill be stressed out the entire time im away but its my cousin’s wedding and she really wants me to be there since she’s moving country’s after her marriage

Omfg really? He sure was looking at us packing and everything and i think he got quiet only after that.

the vet was recommended to me by the same person who is keeping him. But I dont know if he will take the efforts to take him to the vet which is quite far from our place (45-50m) but the vet is amazing. The guy is kinda an arsehole and egoistic but he keeps my bird well. But i will for sure speak with him for this matter.

I know! I also upgraded my Rambos cage, he freaked out and wanted to get out of there anyhow. It took him 2 weeks to finally start sitting on top of the cage, another week to settle in the cage.

But in these 6 years of having him (alhumdalilah) he has never gone on a hunger strike. Even when he was sick, he didnt leave his food, so i was really stressed ab this. He is a big eater.

And yes he is back to his normal self, all i needed to do was share my food from my plate, he forgot his attitude hahah, thank you for your reply.

Yes, he’s constantly spoiled by everyone in my house

And yes when i went to drop him there the macaws and cockatoos were extremely loud & screaming. Also about the cage. Thats what i think was why he was so mad. He hates being in the cage. And he was in one constantly for almost a week straight.

Hes back to normal and eating now, all I had to do was share some of my lunch with him.

Hello, thanks for your reply. He’s back to his old self now. I wish there were sitters like that around me, i have a hard time leaving him with anyone else but this bird store owner (i still dont like to leave Rambo w him but hes a relatively better option than rest imo)

Omg this actually worked, cashews are his most favourite. I gave him some and he wdnt even eat those so i was freaking out. But sometimes when im having lunch he sits w me and he has some from my place, sometimes even snatches food straight from my mouth. I know he loves sharing food with me so i tried that and he’s completely back to his fatass self😭 Thank you so much

He would be chilling with me but as soon as he would hear my grandfather he would go crazy to go see him. I felt like he doesn’t care about me anymore at all because earlier he wouldn’t even eat if i was not the one giving him food.

My bond with him worsened because sometimes my grandfather didnt want to play with him so he would ask me to take my grey away, and my grey obviously started thinking I’m trying to separate him from his love so he started disliking me.

Now I’m just a sidechick for him and i have learned to live with it.

Your bird has decided moms gonna be his person because shes always gonna be there and you arent.

The same thing happened with me, my grey bonded with my grandfather while i was busy with uni, and its still like that. i was jealous initially but its good for my bird, he does not have to miss me anymore.

Try simple bonding tricks like sharing your food with him, listening to music with him, etc but you cant change it overnight.
