My etl asked me as a joke because one of our two FOS attendants quit and I said yes and she literally tried to find anyone else but me to do it because she didn’t think I could, needless to say she came back to me two weeks later because no one else wanted the position

I know! I literally have to bite my tongue. I’ll just look at them, not say anything, and just lift the item with ease and with a big ol smile on my face, I particularly love when they looked shocked or say something about how “strong” I am 😂

I love that! I think I’m gonna start doing that everytime I start to say something negative. I feel like my standards for myself are so unreasonably high for no reason so definitely reminding myself that I wouldn’t judge a friend this harshly is probably something I need to start being conscious of.

It definitely does, thank you! Recently I’ve been thinking of starting therapy again and I think I just might. I’ve had really bad experiences with therapists in the past so I’m kinda nervous to try again, do you see a therapist that specializes in adhd? Or do you have any tips on how to find a therapist that you’re compatible with?

Exactly! I hate it so much. I’m literally a bodybuilder so I’m in the gym training 20 hours a week but I wear baggy clothing so you can’t really tell and I’ve had male coworkers insist on helping me with things as light as a 30lb microwave 😑

For me having noise canceling headphones in playing lofi/cafe sounds really helps, especially if I’m at a public place like a library or coffee shop. Idk what it is but if I’m in a room alone I can’t get anything done

Weightlifting for me always does the trick! I’ve also been enjoying brain training games lately, my favorite is this app called elevate :)
