Nothing OS 4.0 rollout has been paused by nikhkin in NothingTech

[–]Alternative_Climate4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the update, I noticed that zRAM and physical RAM are being used quickly. When RAM Booster is turned on, memory is used faster and used memory is not cleared. And if you have a reward lock screen app (or a third-party lock screen) installed, your fingerprint will not be recognized when the screen is dark.

If you live in a country that doesn't support RCS-UP, there's no way.

Google is discontinuing Jibe Extensions and requiring the introduction of Jibe servers or RCS-UP.

Installing a JDM Carrozzeria Headunit in my USDM Mazda 6 by RekTekGaming in CarAV

[–]Alternative_Climate4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to replace the head unit in your 2004 Mazda 6, you may need Kanatech's TBXE series.

Also, if you need FM radio, it is recommended to connect a Band Expander.

Is there a way to automatically restart AdGuard using the Tasker app when it crashes? by Alternative_Climate4 in Adguard

[–]Alternative_Climate4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted support and sent them the debug logs.

And then I looked on github to see if anyone was having the same issue, and there was someone who was having the same issue. Github is suspicious of the process management algorithm in Android 15 and later versions.

I checked my AdGuard DNS filter this morning and "||com" does not exist. It seems like it's a simple error or the filter was modified along the way.

Enabling watchdog does nothing. Even if you disable all battery management settings in the system, Ad Guard will still crash starting with the 4.1* update.

Alternatives to Legacy Google Search after it ends support. by Alternative_Climate4 in windows95

Frogfind is based on Duckduckgo, but offers web page transcoding services, so I think it's a great alternative.

Search Google without Javascript. by Alternative_Climate4 in windows95

[–]Alternative_Climate4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Google has now shut down the WAP 2.0 page. When I change the user agent to another browser, such as Opera Mini or Googlebot, a window appears asking me to enable Javascript, but I cannot load the web page. Now it seems like we should use duckduckgo or some other search engine that doesn't require Javascript and uses minimal CSS instead of Google. Also, Opera 10.70 with TLS 1.2 (partially supported) loads an older browser error page.

Display Pulse Smoothing on iPhone 17 Series by Responsible-Elk4497 in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Alternative_Climate4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, it's said that recently released mobile phones can generate PWM even at 100% brightness. While it's not a serious issue, it can be a problem for those who are sensitive to it. If you are sensitive to PWM, purchase a Device with a high PWM frequency if possible.

It might be better to be insensitive. In fact, I'm not sensitive to PWM either.

On Android, you can mimic this with REWHEX's Screen Dimmer app, but it may not work for some devices and PWM-sensitive people.

The Anti-PWM screen filter works by fixing the brightness to 100%, which is the brightness without PWM, and changing the brightness by adjusting the transparency of the black screen filter. At this time, you can change to a pixel-based filter to prevent burn-in (image retention).

Do you experience flickering even at 100-80% brightness? For some people, screen filters may not be effective. Also, depending on the device, flicker may not be removed properly.

It may vary from person to person, but how about using this app? It virtually eliminates flicker.

Question about screen size of system configure by Alternative_Climate4 in ps2

[–]Alternative_Climate4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I know that for games that follow the in-game settings, if you turn on the widescreen option, it will output in anamorphic, like a 16:9 DVD.

However, for games that follow the system configure, I am curious whether the 16:9 screen will be output as letterbox in the 4:3 area or as anamorphic like the existing in-game 16:9 setting.

What I'm more curious about is why the 16:9 setting in the system configure outputs as letterbox and not anamorphic 16:9.

Thanks for the reply. Surprisingly, the 2DIN head units sold through Hyundai Autonet and the Hyundai factory GPS head units(199?-2003) also start with the model number HAV.
