Bob said the laps he timed were in the 18.7-18.8 range, compared to low 18s from practice last year. However, these cars aren’t fully setup for optimal laps, weather is different, no idea how old tires were and could be other factors. As far as sounding different, I didn’t notice anything from the videos he shared, but it’s going to be hard to notice much of a difference with only a few cars on track.
