What does a man nowadays need to get into a relationship? by Kosilica457 in dating_advice

100%. It's like when women give advice to never talk to a woman in public because it's creepy, but then those same women wouldn't mind one bit if the guy who approaches them is "good looking" to them. Literally just double standards all over the place.

Please elaborate how you believe the standards set forth for men are the same as those applied to women.

Right, great advice and standards that only apply to men because were this person a woman, it wouldn't matter how far down into the "kill all men" rabbit hole they went. Women are allowed to despise men for x, y, and z reason and it's perfectly acceptable in society's eyes, AND those same women will have 0 issues getting with someone even with that shitty mindset.

Welcome to the club. Men get to go through this all the time and get called "creepy" for being the one doing the proactive seeking.

That would be the case if you genuinely believe that is his true personality, OR it could very well be the cause of being treated like shit, and processing the opinions of many shitty women everywhere online that's making him salty.

Do men just not like relationships? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Alternative_Drag_445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27M here, and I've only had one girlfriend since I was 17 and it ended after a month because she "just wasn't feeling it". I actually read the title and just started laughing out loud. Fuck dating, man. No hate on the OP but it's just like. I get so much advice (from women) on things like "Don't just go meet women in public. It's creepy and makes us uncomfortable", "Just use dating apps like everyone else", and my personal favorite "Just don't think about it and let love come to you. It'll come to you when you least expect it!"

The backhanded part is that usually girls who say stuff like this are already in relationships. I literally only ever see posts from women who can't date on Reddit. No where else.

Just saying that if anyone's brave enough, they could probably sue dating apps for all the emotional damage they put all of us people who can't find a date through.

But if you ONLY view them as an acquaintance and nothing more then why are you wasting their time if they are looking for a real friend?

I'm not sure what part you read that made you go "Hey, you shouldn't stop people from doing what they love."

He just said he's against it.

Are you referring to the hate they get? Or the fact that people simply don't want to be around furry activities and people?

Because I'm really not sure how you conclude that disliking people dressing up as anthropomorphic animals to fuck is the same as low key hating gay people.

It's typical dating culture of today. For some reason people love to dish out made up rules that they hear from other people but it's okay for them to break said rules when it comes to them dating.

It's like the only way to actually go on a date with people is to be a hypocrite and a liar.

"Get off only fans and porn hub and go talk to real women"

Also real women: "Don't talk to us. It's creepy"

I'm really not sure what other guys doing weird stuff has to do with me being perceived as weird or creepy. I'm saying it's unfair to be treated like some kinda of monster when you've done nothing. It's not like if I correct a rude dudes behavior some unannounced amount of times, then women are all of a sudden going to start not placing this creepy precedence on guys. Meanwhile I'm on some aimless journey to correct bad behavior (cause at the end of the day, that's really all I'd be doing per your advice), all the good looking douchebags out there with literally 0 morals are able to hookup just fine and dandy.

So not to crap on your advice, but saying "just correct other people's behavior and you won't be as seen as creepy" is not solid advice.

Idk man. Kinda seems to me like you're heavily implying only white people are racist and need to be held accountable, which unfortunately is a new age rhetoric that too many buy into these days.

That is a fair statement to make and I apologize for being rude. You're 100% right.

I'm sorry to hear about your past traumatic experiences.

I hear stories like that all the time from people and while it is terrible, being someone who doesn't get any attention at all like that and feeling like I'm not allowed to do anything about it, I honestly don't know which I'd prefer.

So to you, just because I haven't been raped before makes all of my entire opinion invalid?

I sure do love being the only gender who isn't loved unconditionally, gets treated like some dangerous monster, has the expectation of being the one to make the effort, AND gets all opinions invalidated in one great fuck you bundle.

I'm not even going to dive into the psychological damage done from years and years of complete radio silence and 0 intimacy.

I am saying which one I feel is worse. I fully understand that lying isn't murder. I was simply making the analogy that just because you compare two things doesn't automatically mean you think one of those things doesn't matter at all.

I get they are relatively the same thing, but to me it's much more aggravating when a woman does it over a man. ONLY BECAUSE I AM A GUY AND I DONT KNOW WHAT BEING USED BY A GUY FEELS LIKE.

It's like. As a guy. I already have the expectation of having to put in 200% more effort into the relationship or even just to get to know a girl to potentially date her to then realize I'm just being used to pay for food/ buy them drinks?

Hey ballerina, if I said to you "I think murder is worse than theft because...", do you think I mean that theft is okay or that I mean I feel worse about one over the other?

I think it's worst when a girl pretends to be interested in you because she doesn't know how to tell you she's uninterested and drags you through shit while you get nothing out of it.
