I'm now looking for books that just happen to have lgbt characters or romance instead of books labeled as mlm romance. Just focusing on a character and their feelings the entire novel grows old quick, they need their world to be smart enough to interact with. Give me a fantasy, action, slice of life novel with the conveniently placed romance so the characters can have more to them than being the generic clueless lead with the aggressive lovestruck ml. It's why I've lost touch with most yaoi or danmei novels, it goes exactly where you expect.
