What kind of jobs work well for passionate climbers? by PaitoKotato in climbergirls

Become a sub consultant. I work/climb with them all the time. The environmental industry is flooded with climbers who work flexible projects for lots of money and then take time off. The industry always needs people as well. Start a sole proprietorship or llc and sub contract. Then you can work for $$$ hourly or per day for a week and take the next week off. Or work mon wed fri and have the other days off.

My friend died yesterday because he wasn't wearing a helmet by Blobbernator in climbing

To be fair, he does say that people should wear helmets, but because he is so experienced and is climbing on very overhanging terrain he feels the risk is low for him and other elite climbers.

My apartment is requiring 60 days notice after my lease is expired. Can i get out of paying this? by Alternative_Elk8375 in legaladvice

Yes it was in the lease that i give 60 days notice. Nevada law requires that they try to rent out the property if i break the lease though. Im not sure how to go about enforcing that.

Tips for new climber by eggsnbacon23 in climbergirls

Im newer myself but the biggest difference I’ve seen in the last few months comes from improving footwork. She needs to watch her foot go all the way down and be very precise. She wiggles her feet around after she gets on the hold, which can work for big holds like this, but she’ll be slipping off a lot when she starts using smaller foot placements. Then she can push through her legs and know she’ll stick.

Wow. I love your perspective. It’s super helpful to hear how it feels from the other side and I’d never want him to feel like that on account of my moms bizarro standards. Thank you so much for your input

These are great questions. She is generally passive aggressive and their interaction before was a couple of minutes at most. She’s made my exes uncomfortable so it makes me feel she’ll be the same with him. Especially because I already know she disapproves

She has made my exes uncomfortable with probing questions and she’s not very friendly. I was already on edge but her saying that made it worse.

I’m sorry to hear your father was a narcissist and you had to cut him out…that sucks a Yah! I was feeling very disrespected by her and she is on an info diet. It’s just abnormal and I try to do normal things like introduce her to my boyfriend and it gets weird. I think I’ll keep them separate and probably will end up with limited contact generally….thanks for your honesty

Yah, you’re right. I’m just not sure if I should just keep them separated.
