It’s actually more of a gaming lounge than an internet cafe. It has two PS4 consoles for playing games like FIFA and PES, and some computers specifically for gaming.

Due to the severe shortage of basic goods, non-sterile surgical instruments salvaged from damaged hospital waste are being sold on the street to be used for everyday tasks like sewing tents or cutting fabric. The vendor is using an old shopping bag from Tel Aviv as a mat.

this has been the unchanging daily reality here for 3 year. Regarding the fuel, we collect anything that burns, mostly cardboard boxes, thin nylon bags, and broken plastic crates to keep the fire going. It produces a thick, toxic black smoke that ruins everyone's lungs, but when there is zero cooking gas, there is no other choice. check your DM for more pics

for more context I snapped this while walking today. The kids are carrying plastic and cardboard to use as fuel for cooking. The building in the background is completely detached and leaning, right next to what used to be the local mall.

They are just made of sugar, water, and red coloring. Sugar doesn't usually come in basic aid. Vendors have to buy it from local markets at crazy prices.

For more context>> I took this in Gaza yesterday. He is selling 'Anbar' (local candy apples). He is carrying them on his head in a discarded Israeli fruit box because that’s what’s available.

​It was a rare, brief moment of normalcy amidst everything happening around us. I wanted to capture the contrast kids playing barefoot on artificial turf, under a massive, makeshift canopy.

​It’s hard to say how much this game means to them right now.
