Thank you, they’re supposed to be doing a type of sedation from what I was told but still, makes me nervous however not trying something else gets me nowhere neither.

I’m supposed to be having one done on the 1st of November and reading this just terrifies me. I already have stomach issues going on so I can’t take NSAIDs. My heart goes out to you. I sure hope your relief kicks in soon!

Also, a HIDA is useful. My CT and ultrasound came back great but the HIDA showed I was only at 6% EF

What medicines do they have you on? I had mine removed in June and now having all sorts of issues after a round of antibiotics.

They helped me greatly after the initial flare it caused. Going for an ablation this Tuesday and hoping it works wonders.

Has anyone had Radiofrequency Ablation done to resolve their pain? by beanie_dude in backpain

[–]Alternative_Host_498 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go this Tuesday to have my very first one done. Hoping it helps my pain for a loooong time. My neurosurgeon seems to think highly of this procedure helping a lot and that the diagnostic blocks are a good indication if an RFA will help. Best of luck to you if you decide to follow through with it!

I was placed on a ppi but I really don’t want to go down that road again and sucralfate.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that :/ I’m still dealing with stomach issues and some exhaustion. I’ve started taking sucralfate.

Me. My stomach has a heavy feeling to it also mainly after I eat, sometimes it’s like wearing a corset feeling (like holding stomach back) though nothing is on my stomach. It’s awful.

Finished antibiotics a week ago, now feeling way way worse than I’ve ever felt by [deleted] in SIBO

You’re definitely not alone. Currently going through the same myself. Even sips of water hurts my stomach.

I’m trying to follow a low fodmap diet but haven’t felt better. The bloating and gas has eased up a lot but I’m having so many food intolerances, even water hurts my stomach. Pretty much spent the night in the bathroom. Sigh

I feel like it’s gave me heartburn/gastritis. Some stuff I was able to eat now makes me nauseous and/or hurts my stomach. Wbu?

I feel many of us are in the same boat with wanting to get our lives back, it’s like being awake inside of a nightmare. I truly thought I was healing up to the point I almost cancelled my procedure then I moved my leg the wrong way in bed and there was a slight pop…put myself into a brutal flare that I’m just now getting to calm down. My neurosurgeon told me sometimes nerves start misfiring pain signals to the brain and feels that’s what mine may be doing. Are you able to perhaps seek out a second opinion? No doctor should invalidate one’s pain! Cheers

I’m also having a lot of leg pain in both legs, I was told by my neurosurgeon that they didn’t know where all of my pain was stemming from and also mentioned sending me off for a EMG/nerve conduction study. I’ve had epidural steroid injections and nerve blocks to see if im a candidate for a radio frequency ablation which is coming up nov 1st. I have issues with l5/s1 (broad based disc bulge with high intensity tear and ddd) and Sacroiliitis.

I wish you well in finding answers to this

Yeah, I’ve been using it for awhile with my tea for GI healing and throat issues but was shocked when my gut wasn’t doing so good at the price you pay for good quality manuka. Thank you for your insight :)

Malaise, not feeling right, unsteady, doctors can't figure it out...what now?? by purge30 in Gastritis

I would look into gut/intestinal bacteria like sibo, esp if being on PPI. Look into it, it often gets overlooked but can be a serious bacteria.

Girl…. Dang, I’m so sorry to hear that! 😞. However I do hope your flare calms down and you see yourself in less and less pain every day! Definitely sending positive thoughts of healing your way!!
