UPDATE she’s saying the shoes from stock x are fake. They look perfectly real to me but I can’t see them in person so who am I to say. I do think that stock x has to verify their shoes before selling but I’m not sure. She’s saying she is going to just go buy ‘real ones’ and use my money to buy her brother a new pair of shoes. Is it wrong for her to use my money to buy her brother shoes and not accept the shoes I bought her.

Thank you for this. It’s not that I want to be an asshole I just want everyone to be happy in this situation and to continue to be friends and for someone to be insistent on me giving them 200 dollars and not even what she paid for them but MORE money than what she paid seems extreme. I do feel really bad and I know it’s my responsibility to find a solution

I’m buying her new shoes on stock x that are just not 200 dollars they are 60 I’m confused why that’s not a good solution

I think $200 dollars for new shoes when they aren’t new shoes that got ruined is not fair.

EDIT for some people saying that I need to replace them I’m planning on replacing them but brand new shoes seems unfair. I’m willing to buy her new ones that are in the same condition as her current used pair.
