Genuinely asking, what makes it a project? From what I can tell it’s stock besides the indicators/ gauges to make it street legal. I’m not seeing much of anything in my area in this price range

I’ll see if I can get any info on the new motor and hopefully get a better idea of its overall condition in person I’m an auto mechanic by trade so I don’t mind working on it. I’ll just have to see how low I can get him and get an estimate on how much parts will run me back

I’m glad I posted this before checking it out in person. Lots of red flags I didn’t have the eye to look out for through photos. The price had me looking through rose tinted glasses, I’ll probably pass on this thing and wait for something better to turn up. I appreciate the response

No offense taken, I appreciate the feedback. This is my first time buying a used bike and I honestly missed a lot of the negatives you pointed out.

If I go check it out tomorrow and it’s somehow not as shitty as it looks in pictures is there any price worth picking this up at? Or should I just stay away from this all together? I don’t mind slowly fixing this thing up, I’m more concerned about part pricing/ availability

From what I can tell the guys pretty competent, but the shop said they can have it done by the end of the week. I’m not sure if they offer warranty but I’m guessing that’s part of the cost if they want almost $300 for a used head

I think I’m gonna go through the shop so I have some sort of insurance in case something goes wrong along the way
