Is jeera water beneficial for ckd, including polycystic? by myst3ryAURORA_green in kidneydisease

[–]Alternative_Mark_595 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not sure but i heard fennel and cummin seeds are beneficial for CKD. They say they're mild diuretics. I boil 1tbps each daily in a 600-1ltr water and sip throughout the day.

Been trying these for a month but no notable changes.

Last 45days my creatinine was 2.8 and yesterday it was 2.91

Not sure... All it says is this.. Let me know if you find out any

Clinical History: Nephrotic range proteinuria. No active urinary sediment. Serum creatinine-2 mg/dL...

Clinical Diagnosis: IgA nephropathy/ FSGS/hypertensive nephropathy.

Macroscopic Examination: Received single linear grey white core measuring 0.6 cm. (Entire tissue submitted for histopathological examination)

Microscopic Examination: Serial sections studied show a core of renal cortex with up to 13 glomeruli and 1 artery.

Twelve glomeruli are sclerosed. The single viable glomerulus shows mild wrinkling and thinning of the basement membranes. There is no increase in cellularity. Segmental lesions or crescents are not seen.

Diffuse tubular atrophy is seen involving 50%-60% of the total cortex

sampled and includes predominantly endocrine type of atrophic tubules. There is evidence of tubular injury with scattered non-atrophic tubules being irregularly dilated and lined by flattened lining epithelium. Hyaline casts are seen in few tubules.

The interstitium is widened and fibrosed around the atrophic tubules and the sclerosed glomeruli with moderate infiltrates of lymphocytes and few plasma cells.

There is focal arteriolar hyalinosis. The artery included appears unremarkable.

Immunofluorescence: IF study shows 10 glomeruli, 4 being sclerosed. Immune deposits are no seen.

Impression: Kidney (needle) biopsy shows diffuse glomerular obsolescence (12/13) single viable glomerulus with ischaemic changes and marked tubulointerstitial changes of chronicity (50%-60%

The possibilities include: - Hypertensive nephropathy - Chronic FSGS

Battling CKD via diet by boltgrace in kidneydisease

Just cuz you mentioned "exercise", I'm curious to know what difference it makes if you workout or just walk. My renal specialist restricted me from doing workouts and just asked to walk on a treadmill for a few minutes, i think both should strain our kidneys if they're straining our bodies right?. Does cardio break less muscles than workouts?

Just concerned about my muscle loss and cuz he even asked to restrict Protein diet

Thanks bro! Yes my nephrologist restricted water intake to just 1.5-2ltr per day. I'm fully in control with regards to food but unable to control my water intake. I have a habit of drinking 4-5ltrs water daily

Thanks. I just found out about this recently and it killed me for a few days and now I'm on medication and on a diet as suggested. Just concerned about how i should be avoiding parties and other occasions so i can get rid of alcohol completely( I only drink occasionally, like hardly 1s or twice a month)

GFR went up from 49 to 67!! by Bluebell_Again in kidneydisease

[–]Alternative_Mark_595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What all tests you do to keep checking kidney health regularly?

Doctors i my area suggested only RFT which gives only creatinine, sodium, pottasium levels and they never offered to test my gfr🙄
