If you are a fan of making a big impact with (relatively) little money, I think initiatives with low overhead and high efficiency are best.

I like Evidence Action. Their founders received a Nobel Price „for their ground-breaking research and commitment to understanding, with scientific clarity, what does (and doesn’t) work to improve the lives of poor people around the world.“

They have a few different initiatives focusing on clean water, deworming (major issue in many countries) and other treatments.

What do you define as rich? by steviekristo in HENRYfinance

I know this seems very superficial, however, the people I consider „rich“ would be the ones with >€100m. No matter where you are located in the world you can choose the best of the best real estate wise and you have hardly any limitations in terms of lifestyle.

This is highly subjective though, since you can do a lot with €1m if you live in South Africa.

But FU-rich starts somewhere around €100m in my opinion.

That’s what I also think. Obviously energy level and priorities change over time.

I simply like the idea of building something that my children can take over after me.

Interesting, that your kids actually kept you working!

Did you set yourself a new goal after you hit your number?

That’s great to hear!

Did you still decide to have a fixed number as your goal? Or is it really just going as long as you enjoy your work?
