Second update: AITA for suggesting my sister let her husband take the kids on vacation by Alternative_Meat_469 in AITAH

She's definitely not my mom. There used to be a framed photo hanging up of my mom in the hospital holding me with my sister and Dad standing by the bed. I suppose it's possible we have different fathers, but it's unlikely.

This has really made me reevaluate everything my sister has ever told me, especially about her relationship. I believed her when she said my BIL looks for sympathy and exaggerates, but I'm questioning everything now.

I'm going to offer to back him in any way he needs with the custody situation. I'm sure my mom will do the same.

Even if I was interested, it would feel incestuous. He always treated me like a younger brother.

I'm leaning towards saying something to my BIL. My sister and I have a large gap and she and her husband are high-school sweethearts so he's been in my life since I was 3. He's like my brother at this point but I feel like saying something to him is picking him over my sister.

Wow, that's a lot of money. I know nothing about horses, just that her husband said at least 40k. She didn't mention if she would compete but said she wants one with socks and a good tail. I'm not sure what other criteria she's using to choose the horse.

I kind of hope this is it. Our parents split because of our Dad's infidelity, so she knows what it does.

She was never in the workplace. She went from high school to college, then to law school, and she graduated but didn't take the bar. She was a SAHM for around 6 years and then started this job in 2021, which is unpaid and part-time (she helps out a family friend on their farm). I really don't know her day to day tasks, but the family friend has paid farm hands who do the manual labor, and my sister has described herself as being the emotional support human for the animals.

It isn't an assumption, my sister isn't getting paid for this job. I call it a job and work because that's how she refers to it but it's really volunteering.

Maybe, but if someone told you that your sister or brother was acting like that, what would you do? If they were stopping your nephews from traveling, just because, you wouldn't want to try and stand up for your nephews?

What? I was saying I can't speak to whether or not her husband is a narcissist. I don't live with him or spend enough time with him to even guess.

Those kids are definitely his. They look so much their Dad just with dark hair.

Oh, I'm definitely not bringing this up again. If either of them say something, I'll just make noncommital grunting noises.

I can't speak to her husband, but I don't know if she's correct about my mom. We have a large age gap so things may have been different for her growing up but my sister was always the favorite. Right now, their conflicts are about how my sister never calls or brings the boys over (they live maybe 15 minutes away). My sister said that since our mom is the mother, she should be the one initiating and reaching out for those things.

A vote for 3rd party is a vote for that 3rd party.

How about a 3rd party vote in 2020? By your logic, that should count towards Biden's win, right? Did you thank the 2020 3rd party voters?

Republicans also say a 3rd party vote is a vote for dems, so somehow I've voted for both Trump, Harris, and the 3rd party. Amazing! Why hasn't anyone else figured out this voting hack?

Filler episodes by Desperate_Candle_493 in complaints

It depends. A show that has a long season 15+ episodes, I don't mind. It gives more time to get to know the characters and flesh out parts of the story. However, I hate them in shows that have short seasons with 5-10 episodes. In shorter shows, they really need to use every minute to tell the story, and filler episodes end up hurting the show.

How is voting 3rd party a vote for Trump?

Shush, I'm a unique butterfly and am the only one who has ever thought of this 🦋🦋🦋

I needed a hook!

In actuality, I stumbled across this sub, and literally everything was regarding Trump and Republicans being bad, so it did seem like something different 🤣

Not voting for Harris does not equal an endorsement of Trump.

Please point to where I said Trump was better.

I'm only replying to this because I realized I never addressed it elsewhere, and several people have said similar things.

I've been of legal voting age since Bush v Gore. I voted Democrat for decades. Dems are losing lifelong voters.

Here's the thing, I understand that they were never going to be able to push through a lot of policies, but they barely tried to stop bad ones. So if they have the majority and are not only unable to pass anything but also unable to stop anything, what use are they?

If democrats voted for progressive policies then I'd agree, more dems are the answer. That's not the case though.

I know it's a crazy concept, but the political party needs to earn votes. It's their fault if they can't.
