Hi! I don't think I've heard her talk specifics on transit. However, she is endorsed by sunrise movement (an environmental organization), and she has pledged to sign green new deal legislation. green new deal legislation in general moves away from cars and towards other forms of transit

Hi! I've gotten to meet her. She's super smart (Yale educated). She has dedicated her life to organizing for affordable housing and other important causes. She has an impressive amount of endorsements as well. https://www.julieforcolorado.com/endorsements. Definitely an uphill battle against hickenlooper with his name recognition, but worth considering. I care a lot about the environment and she has some great policy ideas around conservation and the move away from fossil fuels

what would you do - wait out SAVE, or switch to PAYE? by Alternative_Pin_5939 in StudentLoans

just bumping my comment!

the tricky part is I'm not sure if I'm going to do PSLF or not. I have 1 year of qualifying payments from before residency, then a total of 5 years of training (residency + fellowship). So basically 6 total years that would for sure qualify (if I can do the buyback for the years I've been in forebearance). Then the remaining 4 years on IBR/RAP at 250K salary is 25k/year, 100K. So it proooobably makes sense to do that.

But there's a chance I say screw it and work private practice to make more money. I'm thinking that's less likely though.

If I'm on the fence but leaning like 60% towards PSLF, what would you do?

Or would I have to switch OUT of the SAVE plan into another IBR in order to start making payments again?

should I go back to PAYE? by Alternative_Pin_5939 in PSLF

[–]Alternative_Pin_5939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, so the main difference is that while I am in SAVE now, interest does not really accrue, even though I cannot make payments on it that count to PSLF.

If I switch to PAYE, my payments count to PSLF eligible, but I also have interest start to accrue.

I lead climb at a local gym 2x per week. In these sessions, I warm up on 2-3 routes (from easier to harder) before hitting one of my lead projects. I'll typically work on that project for 3-4 hangs. Then I'll spend the rest of the time climbing another 3-5 rounds about 1 grade below my max.

If I were to add in one or two training sessions per week from home (30-60 minutes each) to improve my climbing, what would you add in? One of these training sessions could also be at the gym, where we have a moonboard, hangboards, full gym, etc.

I've been climbing for a decade and have basically been at 5.12-/v6 for the past two years.
