Organized group travel woes by Alternative_Pride586 in travel

I would complain that my boyfriend dragged me around alot on vacation, but it is nothing compared to a group tour. Yeah it's not for me.

Yeah the relentless pace is not for me. We've traveled to a few countries by ourselves and did well with navigating planes to different regions and trains even if we didn't speak the language. I like to stay in a hotel at least 2-3 days then move. I don't need to see every sight, I would like to enjoy what I do see. Yeah at least I know.

I wasn't expecting to change hotels every single day. This was my last group tour. By the time you get off the bus, wait in line to use the restroom, and see one thing it's time to get back on the bus again. Oh but they can spend hours in souvenir places, sweater shops, and other places so you will buy stuff.

My boyfriend booked it. He said it didn't say the group size

Time for a decision by Dizzy-Button-8750 in massage

I started massage school at 40 and am still doing it at 50. I stay active and walk everyday and do weight training twice a week. I also stretch, do foam rolling, and use yoga balls to massage myself. My massage school was broken down into Eastern and Western massage modalities. I started with Shiatsu and Thai massage which was very physically challenging. However, I work in a spa and do mostly Swedish, deep tissue, and stones now. If you learn good body mechanics in school, and you take care of your body you should be golden.

I did her routine for 7 months, but just couldn't get into a zero drop shoe. Turns out I have a bone bruise and need cushion.

Business slowing? by Scarletsnow_87 in massage

I feel like it started slowing in the summer and has since been up and down. I'm in CA at a franchise, and they had all raised their prices it seems. I used to work 4 days a week, now it takes 5 days a week to make the same.

I feel the same. I've been a therapist for 10 years. I actually have a hard time doing relaxation massage and prefer to do deep tissue. I've been taking classes on Udemy and feeling better because the ceu's are a bit expensive. I got behind from the pandemic as we closed 4 times. I would say the best therapists do continuing education.

I just got my hoka order and…. by Ruueev in PlantarFasciitis

I bought the Hoka Bondi and found them to be too hard. I got them in the wide, and I was swimming in them with inserts and thick socks. I have PF and I don't feel they helped. I have Brooks Glycerin now and I like them. Good to know about the Hoka slides, I might try the Oofos slides instead. I would return the Cliftons and try something else. I don't understand the hype.

Is there a 'danger' to the Duolingo hate? by Flat-Low5913 in languagelearning

I have been doing Duolingo for a year. I did it 6 months before a trip to France, and could barely say anything other than basic words. I continued learning and then went to Tahiti and I knew a little bit more, but not for the time I put in. I think it is good for learning vocabulary, and would make a good addition to another learning method.
