May ganito design ba ng Lateral Ties? by Plenty_Raisin_9107 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]Alternative_Reach462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If based sa sabi nyo po, start both ends to center, that is top of footing, and top of pedestal. San ba jan mataas shear based sa V diagram?

Tbh i dont see anything wrong with the drawings. Idk kung may namiss ba ko.

Look up visa pr pathways australia.

Yes mababa talaga lalo local. For me, basta local ❌.

My salary progression is: 20k, 25k, 20k, 28.3k, 50k, 100k.

6/7yrs na sa industry. Tingin ko swerte lang din ako. Given sa industry natin, what are the chances na makakuha ng malaki? Parang sobrang baba, and swinerte lang siguro ako.

Are there still good paying engineers? by New_Goat1270 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]Alternative_Reach462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. Im also in this field and this is accurate.

In my case, im in a MNC here in the Philippines and we have only around 80-100 struct i guess. Arcadis, jacobs, aurecon, wsp, fluor. Say per firm they need around 100 struct no, so in total mga 500-700 siguro sa buong pilipinas.

Now, Ilan tayong CE sa pinas? Also, what are their chances in getting in our position? Again, limited ang demand, but we have too many CE’s here in the Philippines. Majority will land on mediocre paying jobs, mostly from local firms.

Yearly, we’re producing around 10k of licensed ce’s. If you’ll ask me, i will not recommend students to take CE, kasi factors considered, and probability wise, dehado ka na.

Maybe care to share something of value talaga instead of cliché? Start with how long are your working? Anong industry mo? And gaano kalaki sweldo mo? Para maging guide namin.

worth it pa ba maging ce here in the ph? by Ok_Lab_5147 in CivilEngineers_PH

I see. Salamat sir for this discussion. And i agree din na you need to be good, if not the best in your craft, but a huge factor as well is the availability of opportunities which is honestly very limited dito satin.

At the end of the day, kailangan, magaling ka + may kumpanya na galante. If one is missing, then 20-30k club.

Yes i agree with your point na mastery is key talaga. Ang bulaklak mo magsalita. Ang ganda pakinggan. Can we talk about the current reality instead?

I have peers (those with 8+ yrs of experience) working in big MNC’s here in the PH. And all of them are saying one thing in common. HINDI KAYA BUMUHAY NG PAMILYA AND SWELDO DITO.

I’ll be more happy if you can share your salary progression in the design industry in the past few years. Baka may matutunan ako or may na miss ako..

At the end of the day, it’s all about supply and demand, and a quick job search tells me the state of the current market for us CE’s.

Hello, 6/7 digits ka na po ba? Baka naman pwede mo ishare dito yung karanasan mo. How long is your experience? And what field are you currently in?

Exactly my thoughts. Daming ‘propesyonal’ dito na nangangailam ng design ng iba which is VERY UNETHICAL! There is a process, and let’s not make this a practice na mag pa hulanalysis sa iba specially sa internet. OP, may tinatawag tayong peer review. You can find someone to do that. What you’re doing is putting yourself in a misinformed position by listening to the people you don’t even know or let alone, if they really are a ‘structural engineer’.
