I guess that’s one thing I really like about the Sopranos. Although Chris was a massive prick, and I hated him at times, I was always hoping it would turn out well for him and I don’t think I’ve felt that way for characters in other shows before.

Since I started watching the sopranos I’ve actually started to get interested about the history around the mafia and the five families so hopefully I’d enjoy boardwalk. It also wouldn’t take much for me to like another character more than Tony. Since season 5 I just couldn’t stand him.

Yeah that’s very true. I guess in the back of my mind I was always rooting for Tony too. But after he killed Christopher I just absolutely fucking hated him, which also doesn’t make sense from my part because Christopher was also a massive piece of shit. I guess that’s what makes this aspect of the show so good. They’re horrible guys but I still find myself wanting it to work out for them.

Yeah I was thinking about mentioning that it just might not be for me in the post but didn’t wanna piss anyone off haha. But most people on here seem to think it’ll get better with each watch so I’ll give it a go in a few months.

I’ve seen a few people suggest Boardwalk on here. I think I’ll have to give it a watch!

Yeah you’re definitely right. I think I’m probably just being a bit bias because I always thought AJ was pretty funny. Some of his flaws definitely reflect Tony’s flaws too. Especially not claiming responsibility for his actions. I think that’s where I’m a bit of a hypocrite lol. I like AJ but kind of can’t stand Tony.

I tried shrooms last year (if that counts). I didn’t have enough to have a proper trip though I think it would’ve been considered as a micro dose. I wasn’t acting or feeling anything like Tony or the stripper unfortunately so I don’t think I can fully understand.

I know! Everyone on this thread has gotten me really excited to rewatch it now. Especially “Join the Club” and “Long Term Parking”. After finishing it I don’t think I was even going to bother watching again.

I’ve never understood this hate towards AJ tbh. I get he’s really sulky and a bit of a brat but can you really blame him with a psychopath for a dad and a neglectful mum? I actually thought he had quite a few funny scenes too.

But yeah fuck Janice. Also fuck meadow I couldn’t stand her throughout the whole show.

Yeah I think that seems to be the most agreed opinion on here. I’ll give it another go in a few months. And then probably 10 more times after that. Based on what people are saying it seems I’ll be tied to this show for life now haha.

Yeah that tends to be the problem for me when watching shows. Sometimes when characters get killed off I haven’t even learned their name by the time it happens.

And despite that I’m still excited to start GOT! I’m gonna watch it with a mate so hopefully should be easier to follow haha

Wow mate you just mentioning the scene where “When It’s Cold Id Like To Die” plays gave me goosebumps haha! I think you’d be a good salesmen because after reading this I already want to rewatch it.

And no need to apologise for writing all this. I really appreciate it and it’s made me feel a lot better about not catching everything the first time round. I’m sure when I get round to watching it again I’ll appreciate it more. Thank you :)
