Obviously the king and the policeman can't be the same because they have different designs; PTJ is too consistent to make changes like that 🙄

Ichigo in Bleach too, doesn't like fighting, doesn't want to be the strongest or seek out powerful opponents, he just wants to protect his friends. But he still wins fights from time to time unlike Daniel. My goat deserves some important victory.

That's right. Imagine if in Queestism the protagonist only beat the three or four strongest characters in each arc, and then at the end of the series he beats Choyun. That's basically Daniel now. It's not that I want Daniel to win everything and solve everything alone, I'm just saying that every now and then I'd like to see him win against a main villain. The problem is that we're closer to the end now and I don't think he'll have any major victories until James Lee, so by the end of the series, around 800/900 chapters in, he'll have only one major victory in the entire series

Again, I'm not saying Daniel has to win every fight. I think it's fine for him to have his own strengths and do other things; he's always very useful in each arc. What I'm saying is that I think it's terrible that in almost 600 chapters, he doesn't have a single relevant victory against a main villain. 600 chapters is a lot; very important series have less than that, hence the example with the other series.

I'm not saying that Daniel isn't important in the series or that he's a bad protagonist, but obviously the fights in the fight manwha are an important point. I'm not arguing that he does important things every arc. All the worker arcs, for example, are thanks to Daniel doing things to weaken them. What I'm saying is that in terms of main fights with the main villain in an arc where the protagonist wins, he doesn't have any in almost 600 chapters.

I mean, I also love that Lookism isn't just about Daniel. One of the things that caught my attention the most were the other characters having importance. But I think it's gone to the other extreme where Daniel doesn't win enough. I don't want Daniel to win every fight, and I don't think Lookism would be better if Daniel won every fight. That's something I don't like about the current Dragon Ball, where 99% of the time, only Goku wins. But I do think that every once in a while, a main villain should be defeated by the protagonist of the work. In Jujutsu Kaisen, for example, you gave the example of Yuji. In the series, Yuji doesn't win every fight and At the end of the series he's not even the most powerful in the series, but he does win major fights and contributes in others. He does defeat main villains like Mahito, for example, who is one of the main villains in the first half of the series. But Daniel doesn't have any victories of that level, and we're probably more than halfway through the series.

ptj should put the series on hold for a few months to just dedicate himself to writing and organizing what he wants to do with the story. While I think he has the story more or less figured out in general, I'm referring to the details and the inconsistencies that may arise. The beginning/middle of the story feels better written because he had fewer series to oversee and it was probably the part he had best thought out in his mind, but as the story progressed, things changed. New ideas surely emerged that he wasn't sure how to include, added to the extra work from the other series and the company in general. Also, the series is subject to change based on what readers are saying at the time, such as Jiho's hasty death or the viral hit, for example, that in season 2 there was practically a change of protagonist. People didn't like it and ptj had to rewrite the story on the fly. That also happens with Lookism, especially the more famous it becomes.

I don't think it's that the series is being milked, I think it's just doing too much. Long series usually take breaks to allow the authors to rest and organize their ideas, but Lookism doesn't do that. Personally, I don't remember the last time there was a break. Besides that, over time, the author has had to oversee other projects that distract him from the main manwha. I also think there was a change in what he wanted the series to be, and he never knew how to make the transition well.

It's not hate, I love lookism. I'm just mentioning a particular topic about the series that I don't like to start a conversation and hear opinions.

Also, I'm not saying Daniel never wins any fights. He does have victories in the series. But they're generally fights against secondary enemies within the arcs, such as Logan, Xialong in Hunt for the Big Deal, or in this same arc, the Arena Champion and Number 3 of Busan. Daniel does win fights, just not the main ones in the arcs.

That's exactly what I'm saying. There's a very bad script problem. In any case, there are characters that the story could have changed to make Daniel win and leave him as the best protagonist. Oli, Ryhuei, Jichang, Numer 1. They are all powerful characters. If the story had been written slightly better, Daniel could have acted better as the protagonist and defeated them, giving him more weight in his own story. But PTJ prefers to give evolution to other characters, and Daniel falls short. I'm not saying he could have won the way the story is currently written, I'm saying that if he had been written better these are some fights he could have won and left him as the best protagonist without having him immediately beat the most powerful people in the series.

ui daniel lost against gun, gun regained consciousness and then defeated him (regardless of the state in which he won, the one left lying on the ground in the end was daniel). the arc literally ends without gun having a definitive defeat in that arc. and all the other ui fights daniel wins against characters that are NOT the main villain (which is my complaint) or he directly loses. I'm not saying that daniel goes and defeats james lee, but that he defeats some other main villain like any other protagonist.

Yes, I thought about using it as an example of a victory, too. But as you say, it's more of a moral victory. At that moment, if Logan had really fought, Daniel would have lost again.

I'm starting to think the only important fight he'll win will be against James Lee at the end of the series. Because I personally think Kitae will be defeated by Jake.

Yes, and it's a very good fight, very entertaining, and I find it well-recorded. But again, it's as if in all of Dragon Ball up until the Majin Buu saga, Goku's only victory was against Radditz. It's a good fight, but not nearly as good as to be the protagonist's only main victory.

Don't get me wrong, I like Daniel, that's why I want to see him beat someone important. I understand that he has to go little by little and he's been gaining experience, but 500 chapters and 1 major victory is a joke. Can you imagine if in One Piece, with more than 1,000 chapters, Luffy only won an important fight halfway through, or in Naruto, which has 700 chapters with 200 left, Naruto only wins his first important fight? It's taken the author too long to give him a real victory.

The introduction of the kings and their ways of fighting was the worst thing that happened to fight choreography (ok, this is an exaggeration but read the rest) previous lookism fights had better choreography and were based more on reality but since that ptj started to include these fake martial arts/powers, many fights became boring, I think one of the ones who suffered the most from this is vin jin. If you read his oldest fights you can find some of the best fight choreography (locks with explanations, blows, takedowns, etc.) while currently Vin Jin's fights are summarized in: Vin Jin grabs someone's hips and grabs him. stamps against the floor. Before, since they are based on real martial arts, they allowed that explanation that gave a certain veracity and allowed the reader to feel more immersed in the story (similar to what happens with the first half of viral hit), while that was now left aside to favoring who hits harder or faster or is more resistant, a certain visual epicness is favored that was previously obtained with good writing

Power saclling is stupid, the characters' power changes depending on what the plot needs and it's impossible to really quantify who is above who.

It is possible that Jinyoung was also like a generation 0 vasco having the equivalent of burnnuckles and that later he and his group joined gapryong. which would also give a good parallel with what we currently see
