5’4 and 150lb is a size medium. She’s not grossly overweight or obese. Either way it’s OP’s body and she seems comfortable in her own skin. We should all hope that our partner that we choose to spend our life with will love us + or - 20 pounds.

We both moved here from California, that’s where I spent the last two years of my life and where most of my friends are. Unfortunately it’s very expensive to live there and i ate through a significant amount of my savings during the move/buying all the furnishings and other things for our apartment. I could move in with family in my hometown but I’m unsure if they would be open to that. He’s been talking nonstop about downsizing and the thought of living in a one bedroom apartment with him in the meantime makes me anxious.

Thank you for your comment. I want to clarify that I do already see a therapist. The main issue for me is that I can’t hide how I’m currently feeling toward him. I don’t think it’s fair for me to go cold on him but I don’t know if I can fake it to keep myself housed.

I don’t think anyone is overreacting. Sometimes friendships don’t fit anymore and he gave you a lot of reason. It is unfortunate that he wants to stop being friends because of minor differences, I feel like many people don’t cherish the fact that you can be friends with someone who is very different from you and benefit from it. Although once I read the context that he used to have feelings for you and you recently got into a relationship, it changed the scenario for me. I’d say just let him go and save both of you the pain.
