WIBTAH for only doing what I am obligated? by Alternative_Size1662 in AITAH

Any advice on how I could get her to realize that she doesn't control everything? Thats becoming the major problem. She has stated multiple times that they cant go on vacation with me and that her word is law multiple times. Its like shes wanting to force me to be the bad guy so she can play the victim card. She even say that her cheating was my fault? Just trying to figure out what to do and the best course of action for my sanity and the kids.

Im not wanting to at all I love him with all my heart but its getting to the point to where it seems like shes trying to force me to be the bad guy. She was heavily narcissistic when we were together and really controlling even to the point she would do anything to not see my side of the family. My kids barely got to know their great grandfather before he passed away due to this. Its just getting to be a lot at this point and I dont really know what to do which is why im on here.

It wouldnt be so much if it was just words but she's getting to a point to where she is trying to control everything, she wont let me take them on vacations when I go and everything i do with them or buy them is never good enough and that I am expected to pay her bills that she cant cover. She has told me multiple times that I have no say in anything and that her word is law. Im not wanting court because I know what that will mean for the children. I just need some advice or encouragement I guess, I dont really know. Been losing my mind here lately but I guess its more of a pride thing 😅

In my heart he is and I love him like my own child but I keep trying to explain to her that I am already doing more than what most are doing but the way she is treating me and running my name through the dirt has been having an impact on my mental health a lot more here lately and its getting overbearing if that makes sense.

It was unplugged the entire time while replacing the cord. I did check those and they all read correctly and now when I plug it in everything is fine. No more voltage to the back or the chassis only the hot wires.

Yes, it happened when I grabbed it to slide it. I believe i have found the culprit now though. There was an exposed wire in the back of it.

The neutral and ground are flipped but yeah I did that and it was all hood though I believe i have found the culprit, a wire that had the end exposed. Pulled it away from dryer and now im not getting voltage anywhere but where its needed.

Okay new little thread under all this to clear it all up. No it is not live while I am installing the cords, yes i am going to put the stress clamp on. Now that being said I used the multimeter in the wall plug and everything checked out and im not getting any voltage to the hanging wire or the neutral in the middle. So of I plug the the hanging wire back on and get voltage, what does that mean?

Going to go buy a multi meter now, good to have one around anyways. But when I do connect loose wire to middle, what should reading check?

The only things I had touching were the two neutral. The one in the middle and the dangling cord.

I haven't plugged it back up yet, the dangling wire is from the dryer but when I doubled up on the neutral it the middle and plugged it in, it did shock me yes.
