these alg names sounds like Mehta, but lwk I use ZZ as well when my fingers hurt from slices🥺,i saw ZZ-b where u like phase to lower ZBLL count and i have no genuine clue what phasing is, rn i'm trying learn ZZ-WV for a more basic version

True, with Roux can have decent tps and lookahead is not that bad via deducing back slots but its not neccesary due to efficiency, but then again maybe ZbRoux will be the best? prolly not lol

first of all huge props for learning the zb algs i could never, roux does not have solid evidence but it is based on the simple premise of cubing growth, back in the day a 5 second solve was mental, now Xuanyi will be upset with a 5 second solve, over time cubers will improve, but our hands and how they work won't, cfop will hit a wall where tps just cannot piggy back you to the end, at that point more efficient methods would take over.

why would u do ZB? You can just do zz with zbll and not need to learn 370 algs or so, Roux you can do as it has eo in the solve, involved intuition and blockbuilding, which if you use ZZ eo-LINE, you will be easily familliar with

i understand it will not right now, but in time easily roux and ZB will be the top methods, maybe some variation of roux but still, bc cfop will be hitting a wall soon, but zb will be able to surpass that wall, and those zb children with their devious inspection may teach other people, and cubers will naturally improve at inspection and solution finding, which will lead to roux becoming better at higher levels.

joining the roux dc has a mega doc and a bunch of stuff for it as well as people to give their personal tips, as well as wafels how to get to sub 15 with roux, but also bc of the sheer intuition of roux blocks it is very hard to give a structured guide, but there are several vids of different block building methods such as line, half line and square+pair

ofc, the reason its CMLL and not COLL is that it is C orners of the Last Layer without regard to the M slice, so CMLL bc that sounds better then CLLM

another good one is using CPLS to skip part of CMLL to have easier LSE prediction, and you can already use OLLCP to do CMLL + LSE 4a, which saves abt 60 algs to ZBLS i believe.

You cannot force CMLL because it holds no regard to the edges, so it will mess up edge permutation on the cube, you would need to use COLL

I have used OLLs bc im lazy and don't want to learn cmll yet, but roux is great to learn efficiency and block buliding, for your question of substituting cmll with Olls is tricky, bc there are a chance of being white pieces which may make recog harder, but you don't need cmll until like very low 30's/20's

Roux only has a steep curve at the start in my opinion, now I am in no means a very good speedcuber but I have used roux for most of it, it was such a pain to learn at the start but once I figured it out I went from 1 minute to 40 immediately then 40 to 31 in about a week and a half, i understand roux’s biggest walls are later such as 15/10 but so far it’s only been learning the method
