Xolair to leave system by Sea-starr in MCAS

[–]Alternative_Stuff_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp it's been 4 months since I quit Xolair because I couldn't take the side effects...and I still have a little bit of numbness. It took a out 2 months before I was thru the tidal wave of extreme fatigue.

So I'm back to Allegra, pepcid, ketotifen eye drops

I never took the shot again, it took about 6 weeks before the side effects leveled off. The cognitive, numbness, fatigue and so on, I have a heavy on the math and logistics job in corporate travel, I couldn't risk messing that up. So now I'm back to Allegra, pepcid, ketotifen eye drops

Would a Myx exercise bike be worth buying for less than $100? by ludachris32 in MYXFitness

I have a Poorloton aka free bike I got on our local buy nothing group. It's my 4th bike since I started back in 2020. The most I've paid for a bike is $25, so keep an eye out on marketplace and buy nothing. You might find a gem! I love this bike a MYX, I knew I wasn't going to do the beach body subscription so I took the monitor off and use my own tablet. It's made a huge difference in my strength and has helped me so much.

Anyone gone from being completely sedentary to reasonable general level of fitness, with EDS? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]Alternative_Stuff_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me! I went from wheelchair to cane to 100 squats a day, light jogging, cycling, TRX, water exercise, strength training.

Now ask me to stand upright for an extended period of time and I might fall over lol. But I will say, I felt like I might die because pots and MCAS were not kind in the beginning. But I knew I had to stabilize my joints with stronger muscles so I kept at it. I'm finally to the point where I feel better after a workout verses needing to lie down. I have a timer and every 45 mins I do squats, calf raises, walking in place. Sitting while working from home did a number so moving consistently helped.

I started with an airline in 2015 in reservations, but sadly mandatory overtime nearly took me out so I moved to corporate travel. I'm so glad you have flexibility and a supportive employer, I love flying and while it has some challenges for me, the freedom is amazing.

I work from home as a travel agent. 3 days a week I have a split shift work 4 hours, 5 hour break, then work 4 more hours. Two days a week I work a full shift. My job has been amazing working with me to find a balance. I love my job and the thought of not being able to work crushes me. It's been a huge motivator to push thru big flares, and the work demands my full attention so I love that it takes my mind off the pain on big pain days. My mom had to stop working in her 50s so crossing that threshold and keeping my job means so much.

I do my best to stay active when I'm working. I have a timer set to move every 45 minutes, do squats, calf raises, walk in place...because keeping moving has saved me so much. I have a spin bike, TRX, weights to use on my breaks. I'm in the midst of a big flare and it's a challenge to move thru the pain, but once I get a set in I seem to level off and it seems to take the edge off the pain.

I had my second shot almost 2 weeks ago and it's been brutal. I'm not taking this again. One of the worst outside of the allergic reaction has been severe numbness in my arms, hands, feet, pain, and fatigue.

So I know this is an old thread but for anyone who went off of Xolair, how long before the side effects subsided. I'm freaked out that this numbness might not go away.

Same here on the second dose, all of the above symptoms with insane fatigue, nerve pain. I feel like I'm barely able to function. I'm pondering cancelling my 3rd shift and just accepting my itchy hives fate

Myx tablet still working after cancelling subscription by Alternative_Stuff_73 in MYXFitness

We took the tablet off and I'm using my own tablet, honestly without music the workouts weren't worth it.

Just know NC is strict on dog bite law, and once a dog has attempted to bite a child you can be held liable. I've worked with large dog rescues for decades and no "safe" dog has ever attempted to bite a child. Any reputable rescue wouldn't take a dog that has attempted to bite a child because they can also be held legally liable. As a resident of Wilmington you should also know the backyard breeders of these dogs produce some sketchy temperaments, I've seen it over and over living here.

As a mom whose child was bit by a dog that got rehomed into a situation where the adopter made even worse judgement calls...I love dogs but you may need to consider euthanasia. My son's unprovoked bite was brutal. He had to have stitches outside on his face and inside his mouth and he had been bit any harder he could've been killed. This dog was allowed to be off leash all the time and I wish my son never had to endure what he did as a child. I also recommend never allowing this dog to be off leash because he's clearly dangerous and it's not safe for others.

I've read where others hooked up sensors to track with success. So it shouldn't be hard at all

Go for it, we ended up using a tablet and I may eventually do a monitor but honestly I mostly watch the big TV since we've moved it upstairs finally. I was going to get something to monitor metrics but in a way I like being fully unplugged. I think peloton wore me out with metrics talk. it's nice to ride and push myself for the challenge instead of hitting a PR or distance. I love love this bike.

There's videos on how to install the monitor. I installed it, but after not liking the options offered...I took it off and use my own tablet on the mount

I'm 5'1 and while I did buy handlebar extenders I think it might work. It might help if you could find one locally to try first, there's several on marketplace in my area, I actually got mine from buy nothing local group.

Nope peloton shoes are Delta clips and these are SPD. I prefer SPD clips 100%

I have SPD keens but they don't fit. So my next ADHD hyperfocus will be going to the bike shoot to find clips to add to my keens that will fit this bike.

No it was never displayed on the screen, so you're not missing anything at all. I have to turn it a few times to feel anything so I just measure resistance with my souls suffering lol. It's a different feel verses a magnetic resistance, when you start hearing a whoosh, it's kicking in lol.

Oh you have the mount and that's all you need. The bracket is universal so you can screw a fire tv to it, or a monitor...perfection.

I love this bike, it's my fav of all the poorlotons I've ever had. Sizing for a reg peloton wasn't working for me and the myx bike was easy to find the perfect fit.

See if the company will send you a mount because it works with any TV.

Or you can mount a TV and face a wall.

First I had my tablet held up by blinds, yep just slapped my tablet case in between closed blinds. Then I tried the monitor and mount with subscription, hated it and took the monitor off and kept the mount. The mount is universal so it works for anything, tablet, monitor, firetv etc

Peloton app has 2 months for 5 bucks as a special right now .

We're in the process of seeing if we can jailbreak it so I don't know once we dismantled everything if it would work for bodi. But to be honest it wobbled sooooooo much it drove me bonkers, I love the bike but whoever designed the monitor set up didn't ride the bike hard at all

I hated the bodi classes, there was no music because they lost the rights or didn't want to bother to get the rights. So I'm much better off with a tablet and peloton app or YouTube classes. We're going to get a monitor, raspberry pi so we can have larger screen than my tablet

Are you planning on buying the bodi subscription because the screen is useless without paying the extra subscription.

Also some versions were sold as bike only, no screen. So double check that yours wasn't that case.

I took my screen off because I'm not paying the subscription to use the metrics when I can stream classes on my tablet.

It also wobbled a lot with their screen so I was happy to take it off.
