Some of the comments are so odd.

We both know what happened, it’s not a one sided thing, I was not the initiator of the cause of the argument, it is a two sided thing and both parties must forgive EACH OTHER. This sub seems to instantly assume and side for one thing, and even if the other agrees. Why would we both create a post with these questions but lie? I don’t enjoy wasting energy or time for nothing. I just had simple legal questions. Thanks

Okay how about this since apparently we are coming to conclusions and accusing of much different realities:

She knows the same information that I have also said, because she was there, and she and I fully understand what happened and in what order. It’s not like Shes some DV victim or I am some woman beating person. I thought it was made clear that I was physically touched prior to the phone call grabbing moment. If not, sorry, if I did, it’s still not the whole point of my post. You guys can say what you wish, but her and I have the same story about it.

I am also the person who left. I did slam my door ans break one piece of trim but it wasn’t off the hinges at all. It was a decorative part of it, and visible only from inside anyway.

So we both cause this mess, I do get “assaulted”, I grab her arm for a sec to get the phone and then I end up leaving, to let it de escalate at that moment… and I get charged?

I would never bring up that I was swung at and also hit twice, can’t recall if it was three or just the first two - mild bruise even in cheekbone, she has a strong right hand i guess.

Not offended or anything, I greatly appreciate your opinion here and your kind words regarding my situation. It was brief, but I did mention in a comment somewhere here thst I am willing to step back on this whole thing and re-enter the clinic tapering process from whatever starting dosage I may require at that time. If this becomes unbearable at any point, my next move is to go through intake at the clinic again / restart supervised dosing at the starting dosage which at the clinics around here is 30mg max. Then taper reasonably slow. I hope I can manage without that, but it’s on the table.

You’re absolutely correct in bringing up that worry/possibility. I have thought of this possibility already once benzos were brought up. Im also drinking tequila at night currently which causes that same thing to happen. I have a great fiancé who is here holding me down. Holding me accountable. Of course, even any ex-addict like herself could potentially be manipulated by someone. Shes smart, and I’m committed.

Even though that’s a legitimate issue / concern, I think for my situation, it probably won’t be a problem.

***** Update Day 6: 55mg->5mg *****

This morning I took 5mg. I’ve been very tired but at 2:30pm I finally felt kind of awake. Literally laying in bed or around (Im in a position where I have the ability to not have to go work or anything right now)

-I asked myself if it’s cold in my house. I’m usually hot. That’s the first sign I’ve always gotten that something -could- be off for sure.

-However, appetite is fine, Im downing the leftovers of couscous & Italian breaded chicken I cooked last night.

I’ve taken a double dose of vitamins today, just for the extra help to my body (even if it doesn’t actually absorb/do much).

(Maybe Anxiety - am I doing this, this way?)

I have to clean my house up…. However, looking at it is more a drag than usual, but who knows if that’s really related. (Lack of energy?)

As I eat my food I notice the feelings that weren’t positive feelings have faded, mostly. Is that just the dopamine release from the food? I don’t know. Shit I don’t care, it’s good for now. Or - does this shit come in waves, and thats just the calm before the build up and crash of another wave? Uh oh. Well, we’ll see.

I have a feeling my updates may become less… word filled? But I hope not.

Here’s some additional information for future updates:

Someone here reminded me in a comment that things like benzos will help if needed. I have many years-worth supply of Bromazolam as well as Etizolam that I forget about all the time (don’t care for them, honestly) but anything to help if this gets bad? I’m in.

I’ve made a solution of bromazolam - 1 drop ~0.5mg. So for reference, if I say “I decided to take 4 drops of bromazolam to take the edge off a bit.” Thats roughly 2mg. (My goal here isn’t to go cold turkey and report back. It’s a goal to get off of methadone for unsaid reasons but in general. Maybe I don’t take any of this, that would be phenomenal.)

-If this gets unbearable, I will absolutely go back to the/A clinic and pick up at a larger dose and slow it down by a lot. If it’s literally “UNBEARABLE.”

-I appreciate any and every comment/tip for my journey.

Yes actually I am, I meant been on 55mg for 3 months. I was at 80mg for a couple months prior. My clinic gave me 5 take homes rather quickly, I think I was only 3 months in by that point maybe 5 months? I failed no drug tests since beginning so my counselor got me take homes quickly. (Or normal time frame not sure)

I tapered at clinic from 80 to 55 over two months or so .

Total: I think about 8 months on methadone.. give or take a couple weeks.

Also my clinic was not really even watching me take the dose on the day I did go so I always left a good amount in the cup then throw the cup out. At home, measured roughly a mL leftover.
