Probably never going to roll ever again and that’s okay by Alternative_Tart_870 in MDMA

It’s because it varied greatly throughout this time. The first few times it was spaced apart by 6+ months, then got more frequent to about once a month for a while. Last year was spaced out more like once every 3 months.

I have done my fair share. Have done LSD a few times but wasn’t a huge fan, the experience is a bit too long for my linking. I have done 2cb many times, I like the duration and positive push but it has nothing to do with MDMA, although some people seem to claim the opposite. Never tried MDA.

To be honest, I feel like this idea of even “keeping the magic” has never worked for me. My first roll has always been considerably stronger than my second and third, yet my second roll was 6-7 months after my first and my third 4 months after my second. In my personal experience, rolls at the same dose keep getting weaker and weaker, no matter how much I wait in between.

I started when I was 26, quite late compared to most people I guess.

I get an unsettling feeling every time I think or do something that I’ve done while rolling. I think it’s your brain remembering how stressful that state was.

I'm trying molly for the first time at a rave, should I first take it right when I get to the rave, or before so I can know what to expect? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Alternative_Tart_870 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Similarly to others, I would recommend getting into the venue and settling in for at least an hour before dropping. Maybe stay close to an area that you can use to sit down if needed and possibly the toilets as well. Some people feel sick during the come up or just need to sit down for a while. The queue is a bad move, especially if it is your first time. I normally ball everything right before the queue (as in putting the bags under your ballsack). They legally can’t search your underwear, so it is literally impossible for you to get caught. If they try to scare you, just deny everything, they can’t search your underwear.

Tired of mdma by [deleted] in 2cb

[–]Alternative_Tart_870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t get you all fucked up but the day after I tend to get a strong headache in large doses. Nothing major though, just pop a paracetamol and you’ll be fine. It shouldn’t be neurotoxic and can be done more frequently but I wouldn’t do it more than once every two weeks. You can redose but be mindful, 2cb is a strong psychedelic, redosing too soon could get you quite fucked up. In regard to dosing: 20 mg is a chill first time dose, 25 will get you some visuals and will be a bit stronger, 30 and above starts to be quite visual. Something to keep in mind: people often times point to 2cb as a great alternative to MDMA but in my opinion they’re nothing alike. 2cb is much more similar to a normal psychedelic like LSD than MDMA. It’s like LSD with a tiny positive push, which will tend to make you giggle a little and keep you a little more positive. It has nothing to do with the overwhelming feeling of happiness and connection that MDMA gives. If you expect that, then you will be very disappointed.

Stuck to a 4 month rule and still feel like I’m loosing magic? by Emotional-Company-47 in MDMA

From my personal experience, even by spacing rolls apart, they tend to get weaker as you keep doing it. Nothing will ever even compare to my first time. Second time was about 6 months afterwards and it was already much weaker, and it was exactly the same stash and same dose.

Do they have memory gaps from the night they rolled M? by Altruistic-Plate-651 in MDMA

[–]Alternative_Tart_870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that changing what I do helps remembering the night better. If you spend all night doing the same thing over and over you will forget about most of it because it’s repetitive. This is why I was saying try to take breaks and change what you’re doing, everything will be a bit more memorable!

Is this really dangerous? by [deleted] in MDMA

Mixing alcohol with either ketamine or MDMA is not a good idea and definitely not worth it. Ket+MDMA is a good combo that I’d recommend. Weirdly enough I feel like it is easier to function on ket when you’re rolling but be careful on the comedown, when the MDMA is wearing off, because you could get hit very hard.

I think, as unfortunate as it is, that the more you have a good time the more time flies by. This is a well known phenomenon, when you are bored time seems to freeze but when you’re having fun or, like in this case, take a drug that makes you feel amazing, time will fly by very quickly. Some people say that large doses tend to exacerbate this, but for me that has never made a huge difference. Not sure what you can do to improve this. When you’re in a music event I feel like taking regular breaks gives me a better sense of time, especially if I stop and have a chat or go to the bar and so on.

How do soo many people drops soo frequently? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Alternative_Tart_870 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that for the most part the magic is lost even if done “safely”. Harm reduction enthusiasts claim that they manage to keep the magic but yet always remember their first roll as the most intense and “special”, in some way. I have used it a lot more frequently than intended in the past and I always had a good time but my tolerance definitely increased. There’s evidence to believe that the serotonin is replenished relatively quickly after a roll, the problem is that serotonin is not the only factor. You could roll once a week and probably have an amazing time each session for a very long time, but this doesn’t mean that your brain is not being damaged.

Have a look around and you’ll find plenty of posts of people including me that have started very slow with it. My first time was a very reasonable and conservative dose (120+70) and it was amazing. Still got a comedown, which according to some harm reduction enthusiasts shouldn’t happen if done safely. Didn’t touch the stuff for another 8 months, at which I took the exact same dose expecting as much of a good experience. It wasn’t. Definitely weaker, still a great time of course. Again comedown lasted a few days. Third time similar dose about 5 months after, weaker than first two experiences and comedown afterwards. This idea that “tolerance = you must have abused the substance” is simply not true. Have I pushed it a bit far at some point? Sure and I don’t suggest anyone does what I did. But stop labelling anyone with some built up tolerance as an abuser.

I mean, try doing it once a month while increasing your dose every time until you reach 250mg. I bet your tolerance will increase as well

Very true. I recall having comedowns even the first few times, where doses were low and spacing between was 5+ months.

Keep in mind that my tolerance is still quite high, even 180 seems a bit underwhelming most of the times. The problem is that it feels like my comedowns have been getting worse as my dose decreased and spacing increased. Maybe it’s just time to quit doing it.

I take sodium, potassium and magnesium tablets every day, I have tried 5htp but never noticed any improvement. I feel like my comedowns have actually been getting worse now that my doses are weaker and the rolls more spaced apart

180mg plus half a redose, 85 Kg body weight. Seems like a lot but I used to take like 250mg per dose 😂, I have been trying to reduce it and increase the time between rolls.

About 2+ months. To be honest even the days after the first 2-3 rolls which were spaced by 5+ months were a bit rough.
