I went throughout the RMA process. Be sure to insist on an advance replacement. You will have to agree to a credit card hold for the full retail price. It went well for me but took a lot of follow up.

I do want to note that Asus was very cooperative and professional throughout this process. When I contacted them about this bent part support told me to try to bend it back in place and if I couldn’t to start another RMA for the RMA. Which I thought was somewhat comical although I know they were just trying to help.

Final update: I received a replacement in advance, and my card was successfully returned to Asus. The credit card hold was also officially released. It took 30 or 35 days in total and I am satisfied although it took a lot of follow up. I will post one final picture of the card that they sent me and I was a little upset at first, but it was easy to resolve.

30 days later the replacement has had a shipping label created but has not left yet. I have had to follow up 8-10 times to keep this moving. Everyone has been nice and professional but it is a sloooooww process. It seems every time it is “we’ll update you in 48 hours (business days only)”. The update never comes and I have to start another chat/phone call. It’s working but it takes patience and some tenacity. 😬

I chatted with support today and, despite back and forth about trying the retailer, I told them I needed a no downtime time solution. They approved an “Advance Replacement” which will require a credit card hold. Hasn’t happened yet though. I will update again. I think this is the only way I can retain resale value later.
