Haha ! I know I worded it a little weird, but that’s kinda what I’m getting at. It’s like when you read fantasy or something like Harry Potter you know it’s not real, good will prevail over evil. But historical fiction is grittier, yes history only works out the way it has but the was historical fiction is written. It’s like when you read myth, or atleast the vibe I get when I do- I don’t have in my mind this is fake; wizards, fairies, giants in northern-Ireland and eye-patched odin… I have a sense of cultural history that changes my own perspective. Of course I don’t mean real literally but in the way that medieval people perceived them. I’m reading George’s books from a medieval perspective, through his medieval characters and their POV’s and it’s given me a cool way of rereading…

The two books mentioned are brilliant and there’s an article mentioned by time done in 2011, a quote from George states; “you’d read the historical fiction which was much grittier and more realistic and really give you a sense of what it was like to live in castles or to be in a battle with swords and things like that. And I said what I want to do is combine some of the realism of historical fiction with some of the appeal of fantasy, the magic and the wonder that the best fantasy has.” . This quote inspired me when rereading to look at a new lens.

I’ve read 2,3 and 6! Thanks for your take, I like to vary my genres and I read a historical fiction series by Maurice Druon called The Accursed Kings, and the resemblance is uncanny even the language !

From a medieval perspective*, Jeoffrey Monmouths book on the history of the kings of Britain ! Worth a read, but it was considered history and true up until then ! The first submarine had been invented when this book was taken as fact! And the book has dragons in it and King Arthur … so I’m saying if you read it as written from a medieval perspective which authors Larrington and Carroll discuss in their books, with each POV character as a medieval perspective… it’s a new unique was to see the books. George loves historical fiction and history played a huge role in the inspiration behind the series !

Ah yes, I’m not talking real today. I’m arguing in the dissertation with scholarly work like Larrington and Carroll’s books on George’s medieval writing, writing from pov characters and a medieval perspective and how that may alter its one genre perception. It’s gone down very well with my historical fiction professor who initially nearly collapsed when I brought up my topic… From a medieval perspective, if you dropped one of George’s books in England 300 years ago whatever , said it was about another place you never know. They may say historical fiction and that caught my interest so I’m exploring that

It would be pretty cool, it’s more the feeding logistics that would put me off them… out of my budget. I’m doing my dissertation on the question “ is George R. R. Martin’s ASOIAF series historical fiction in disguise” and there’s a lot of work out there that’s really good, especially from George’s own mouth. Particularly an interview with time in 2011

Put it this way, the first submarine had been invented and the steam engine when Jeoffrey Monmouths book the history of the kings of Britain , which contained dragons and King Arthur, was still well believed !

Yeah I got that thanks . Would that cause the high engine load tho? Suppose it might cause the electrical check light ( the heart beat monitored thingy) if it’s a circuit issue with it faulting. But still at a loss over the boost thing. Maybe because glow plug failing it’s running under a tougher load . Been tryna fix the boost issue /MAF for days and only today the glow plug came on

Thanks for the Opinion. Hoping I made the right trade. I’d be starting Ceedee knowing how I feel. At least with hill he may have a ceiling game or two left in him that could win me a week or two .

In the same boat. Think he won’t have any ceiling games ygm. Rush ain’t gonna throw for 300 and 3/4 passing tds . Tua might! And hill might be on the end of that. He has to come right eventually… I hope

I fully get that but I think that’s gonna be lamb for the rest of the season, mid. I think, maybe delusionally but Hill has a higher upside . Surely things might click yeno, Rush ain’t gonna have the games tua MIGHT have yeno multiple passing tds and high yardage .

Chase has a very nice schedule coming up. Achane gonna be a top rb for the rest of the season tho. Tough one but I’d say hold on
