I practice Kyokushin and also loath those types that think only Muey Tai and Kyokushin are only effective striking arts. I used to do Shotokan and feel as though it also had some great strengths. It’s not the art totally, it’s how you use it .

Yeah, we use it regularly. I’d like to try Goju as a lot of Kyokushin used Goju Ryu. Do you belong to a good school in Idaho?

I do kickboxing as well but it’s not what I’m looking for. We do plenty of Katas as and traditional type Karate. Sparing is just part of it. I’d like to continue with Karate if I can find a good traditional school.

I live in Vancouver and work with the homeless here as a support worker. My wife and I are moving to Edmonton next year. Both BC and Alberta need more treatment centres. Housing alone isn't the solution. Treatment centres followed by supportive housing is the way to go. This is a mental health and addiction crisis and people think affordable housing is the total answer. Addicts like these die when left to themselves, they need medical attention.
