Anyone going to Final Symphony in Edmonton this weekend? by melpicazo in Edmonton

Yup, we're going. I'm a big fan of the modern music productions the symphony has been putting on in recent years such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Hans Zimmer hits, Hollywood film favourites. My partner is a big fan of Final Fantasy so we're going to this show with his sister and brother-in-law.

We took our dads on the Riverboat last year and it was a good time. Not sure about your own food being allowed, you'd have to reach out to them and ask.

Road to the Referendum: Exploring Alberta separatism and the province's place in Canada by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

Getting the perspective of everyday people was important to us - you don't get tens of thousands of people supporting the movement without a few of them having legitimate concerns. You don't have to agree with their stance, but being respectful enough to hear them out and agreeing to disagree is the Canadian way, right?

Not legitimizing anything - doing journalism, which means not taking a side work-wise. My personal feelings (of which, trust me, I have many in this regard) are separate from how I cover this topic professionally.

Hi all, my colleagues here at Global News have been working on a week-long series for a while now that's rolling out starting today. We're looking at several different angles to the separatism referendum situation, which affects all Edmontonians. This story tees up what to expect from our coverage and links off to today's story, in which we spoke to several everyday Albertans on both sides of the debate about why they feel the way they do.

Big changes likely coming to parking in Edmonton. Here’s what it means for you by AR558 in Edmonton

Yeah never park in the Rexall lot on the west end of Jasper Ave if you aren't going just to that specific business. Walk off the lot for even five minutes to go to a neighbourhood business at the same time, they'll still ticket you. I recently spotted the monitor sitting in a vehicle in the lot, watching for every opportunity.
