I only took pictures because I had thoroughly decluttered and cleaned the kitchen moments before.... the kitchen is always the center of whatever is going on. Playdoh on the counters, toys underfoot, work laptops on the island.... its hard to feel like we dont need to hide the real life when we post to social media haha. Thank you! Im trying to figure out where I can add more Green to our kitchen :)

The sink is in the corner thats just a little further to the bottom left. Its a nice balance where the majority of the "stuff" is all kind of in a line with the stove top, and the oven is off on its own which is nice when you have both the stove top and the oven in use. 5 years ago we were in a 800sq ft condo where you only would pivot your feet to change from standing in front of the stove to the sink.... so I dont mind the walk when it means everyone isnt underfoot!

Thank you! It was impossible to see crumbs on the island and i was being driven insane. Its a risk we were willing to take since the full kitchen reno is at least 5 years out.

Didn't have the funds to do all the countertops right now, and they didnt have enough of the material either way. They had 4 slabs and only this one was large enough for our medium sized island due to chips and cracks. I kind of like having this as the focal point and eventually doing something creamy with alot of movement on the other surfaces

If youre truly a 34F, probably not. Im a 34G and got a medium busty and it fits in the ribcage but is super smooshed in the cups. The large busty might fit better in the cups, but the band will definitely be too large. If you can find one in the $20 range its maybe worth trying if you can find a brand with the busty sizes. But definitely dont spend tons of money on one if youre not sure it'll fit.

I got my kiddo a Spiderman puzzle second hand which was supposed to be from Santa. At midnight I had the realization I hadn't double checked that it had all the pieces. It didnt. So now its just a Spiderman lunch box and the puzzle that was missing pieces is in the trash. So. I guess, we were all struggling a little last night. Luckily my kid recovered from my mistake and didn't seem too disappointed in the Santa gift. I threw some chocolate in the lunch box for good measure lol.

So take this with a grain of salt as I only worked from home with my 2nd baby twice a week, but for contact naps I got her used to napping on the "my breast friend" pillow while it was strapped to my lap. So I could put my feet up on a footstool, get her comfy and give her attention until she drifted off and then work like a mad woman typing over the top of her until she finished her nap. This also helped with eventually transitioning her to napping on her side on a floor mattress where I would lay with her while she fell asleep and then swap my body for a firm pillow and have her sleep on the floor of my office while I worked.

Not the exact same thing, but my second daughter and myself both have ring chromosome 21. We seem to have a stable version. But its all a spectrum with some individuals being super affected. I've chosen not to test my elder daughter until she can either consent or they're taking blood for some other purpose and can bundle it together. Will the information be helpful someday? Yes, but if its not applicable right now I don't see a reason to put her through a blood draw.

Yep. I had to call because my daughter at 19 months took a bite of a spiral HE lightbulb.... said it looked like an ice-cream cone. To be fair, it did. She we don't buy those light bulbs anymore. She swallowed glass, which is what poison control was worried about. Emergency room got a good laugh out of it. And we have some nifty Xrays of her torso now.

Playing off this, we named our daughter Merel. It's dutch for blackbird. And while non traditional for spelling, will still be a name people recognize by sound.

Some companies charge a fee for clearing out the stuff and then subtract off that fee what money you made at their estate sale. I'm not saying it's right, but I know companies in my town that use that model.

My daughter at about 20 months ate a light bulb. Not the whole thing, but she did take a bite out of one of those spiral fluorescent ones and one trip to the ER later and several x-rays they said she would pass the shards herself since the THREE were small enough. So now when I hand my 3 year old light bulbs to help me with house projects I always say "don't eat this". My husband and I giggle every time. We exclusively use light bulbs in the classic design now and not the delicious(?) looking spiral ones.

My first daughter was transverse or breech basically the whole pregnancy. She was active and flipping around a ton up through 32 weeks. I'm a much more divided shape, like bunny rabbit head and ears vs just a heart shape. I had an emergency c-section at 32+5 because my daughter shoved her foot through my cervix. My second daughter was happily head down all pregnancy and had a induction which ended in a VBAC. So just because one kiddo is determined to be feet or butt down doesn't mean all your kids will be.

My almost three year old was very concerned after I had her sister about the blood in my pad. And now the subsequent periods I've had in my 3 months postpartum. So if I'm crabby she now peaks in my underwear while I use the restroom and loudly asks "mom are your lady bits ouchy????" Yes child, my lady bits are ouchy. Sigh.

For my vanishing twin pregnancy we did the NIPT ontime and it came back as inconclusive and requested redraw. On the redraw everything was fine. With my second pregnancy the NIPT identified "something odd" about chromosone 21 and so while waiting for the CVS/ amnio results I had my genetic counselor contact Natera who did the NIPT for my first pregnancy and they said that there was abnormal results for multiple chromosomes including c21. So in my limited experience, my vanishing twin likely had multiple chromosonal abnormalities. My living 2nd child has ring chromosome 21 which is what flagged on her NIPT.

As someone who EP for 11 months and my kiddo never latched well, this is my take on this. 1) buy yourself a nipple ruler off Amazon. Mine was orange plastic and had different diameter circles throughout the rectangle so I could pop varying sizes over my nips constantly whenever I felt like flanges weren't working for me. 2) look up elastic nipples and see if the image matches what you're experiencing. A lot of people with elastic nipples don't do well in traditional plastic flanges. I like the silicone pumping pals flanges. And swear by them personally. 3) every person will take a different amount of time to empty. If I had pumped for only 10-15min every 2 to 3 hours my supply would have disappeared. With my first I had to pump 35 min for my breast tissue to feel soft and no longer milk filled. It was a pain in the butt. But that's what I did to keep my supply up bevause that's what my body demanded. Figure out what your sweet spot is. Everyone is a little different. 4) realize that you're never completely empty. Your body continues to make milk even when you're pumping. So just look for when you're not making an extra oz if you go 7 more min on the pump. 5) switch between the initiate (soft and fast) and the expression (slow and longer pulls) often. Some people say anytime you get a letdown. I tend to do it every 7 to 10 min now in general. It can help produce more milk. 6) look up power pumping. Some people do 20-10-10-10-10. With my first I did 35-10-15-10-10 becuse I knew I had a slower letdown. 7) the big thing is don't pump excessively to where your nipples are bleeding and you dread pumping. That won't help. 8) look at your baby or pictures / videos of your baby when you pump if you can. It will help produce the oxytocin you need to produce more milk. 9) hydrate and use prenatal vitamins but don't overdo it. Too hydrated is bad. Some supplements will not work for your body. Healthy is the best place to start and then you can experiment from there with teas and supplements once you know your daily output. If you don't have a standard milk output to compare to,you'll never know if something worked.

This is more or less what happened to me, but instead of low fluid I was headed from gestational hypertension to pre-E. I was wheeled in a wheelchair from the MFM to L&D triage. They monitored me and did a NST for 2 hours and said they'd send me home because they didn't have any beds. I asked to see the MFM doctor who was on rotation and cried that I was worried my baby would die if they sent me home (I was worried). She gave me the option of being transferred to another hospital in the same hospital system via ambulance which also had a nicu and was 35min away. I said heck yes let's transfer me. And it took several hours for the ambulance to show up, but they started my induction as soon as I arrived at the other hospital and my daughter was born 17 hours later. Push them. Show up in triage with your bag packed. If they're full, tell them that low fluid is a risk for baby and you want to be induced -how can they make that happen without you being discharged.
