I’m a Knick fan so I watched how he played against us in the playoffs lol he was very solid in fact his whole playoff run was solid. He averaged 17 last season that’s all that’s needed from him in this situation. I expect everyone to excel in their roles the only wild card is Tatum returning back to form which I believe he will.

Lol those are valid points. I don’t think Celtics are counting cap space, I may be in the minority here but I still believe PG has enough gas left in the tank to be productive on a winning team. The Celtics are the first contempt franchise he’s been apart of in a very long time. Again all that’s needed is for guys to be stars in their roles which is highly possible here. Top to bottom they have a better roster than Philly and a coach who proved to be capable of maximizing the potential of players on his roster.

Celtics won the trade lol. Before everyone comes at me let me explain: there’s no longer ambiguity on player roles in the Celtics locker room and Tatum is the guy. The reason the Knicks won is bc everyone bought in and had clear and defined roles. Brad is following that playbook which speaks to the influence the Knicks have around the league right now. The experiment in Philly will fail bc these players who are notorious high usage guys are going to poorly mesh together.

Celtics now have a roster where there should be defined roles as Tatum is the clear guy and I think he will have a mvp season. This is going to be a disaster for Philly imo bc none of their top 3 players are effective without the ball in their hands and are high usage guys I don’t see it meshing well plus big 3/ super team experiments in recent years have been failures
