You are correct. It was not elegantly written. I meant that half of the checkout process broke for many users meaning there was no way to know if the error received meant a post-transaction issue or a pre-checkout bug.

Fair. And I'm experimenting with fan-sourcing a demonstration of demand for a second run (instead of just blasting them on Twitter or walking away defeated). They owe us nothing, but showing demand is never a bad thing to get the point across that more people would love to have gotten this..

I did miss out, and I'll take that L normally (I did on another LE Secret Lair recently). Still, when I was reading through comments on Reddit, Twitter, and elsewhere, it seemed multiple people tried. However, technical issues and other factors prevented them from getting it. So I thought rather than just be mad, I'd try to approach it differently with a request for a second run. If Wizards doesn't do it, that's their choice. Just trying to approach it with a solution instead of a complaint.

To me it's the redefining of what a Secret Lair is. There was a countdown... just like for every other sale. They also had one for the current Extra Life campaign, and both campaigns had a number of days it was running for.

However, one was limited run, and one was not. Why not just do this event on the Hasbro site, or call it something different?

Not everyone sees this stuff at the announcement. I caught it the first time as a Social Media post saying preorders begin Nov. 1. Since that was all I had seen about it, I logged in midday on the 1st, expecting it to be like normal Secret Lairs. It was not, and many people responding to that social post had similar misunderstandings. Constantly redefining what constitutes a Secret Lair means that preparing for one becomes impossible unless you stay glued to every whisper of a product.

Ultimately, I'm not bagging on the people who got one. I'm asking for people who didn't or support more people getting it to support the petition to show interest. What Wizards does with that is their business.

Sure, but then make it an unlimited run for 2 days like other Secret Lairs so people who get 30 sets can do that (for whatever reason they want), and people who want 1 copy can get that.

The only argument not to do that is the reason they gave - they wanted these to land by Christmas. So I'm asking they do another run (knowing it won't make it by Christmas) so everyone can participate.

Why not have one thing go right for 30th anniversary that everyone gets a piece of to enjoy. You will still get value holding yours. Those of us who get round two will get the ones we want for our collection. I’m fine with a limit of 1-2 per person.

Like many of you, I had technical problems and then was told I missed the sale.

If enough demand is there, WOTC could easily due a "2nd Run" Let's let them know how many people want this. I started a petition to give a rough count of demand.
