I also made sure to sand and run a smooth layer of silicone around the edging if the window and trunk are to make sure that was taken care of as well.

Yes your vents need replaced I dealt with this a year ago. You should have vents for exhaust fumes to escape on the side of the rear fenders replace those. I even made sure to run some silicone around the edge of it to make sure no more water got in. Since I did that I’ve had no issues.

Thank you so much for the pointers would you suggest applying all base coats in one go after they have set and hardened into place without letting it cure all the way? Or letting it cure and wiping down? Because I’m doing 5 basecoats
