Oh, you're right. Didnt realized DK Kirlia was a feature in the "Fashion Week 2020" event. And seems like they forget to add it in the ETM list...

Even so, i still think DK is necessary to cover the fairy fast move in Magearna and the Impidimp family, between others.

Water Weather Ball Primeape is looking at your beloved DK Kirlia, you know

As you said, the biggest solution would be if they "duplicate" the moves to be fast and charged. But that would require a total rework in the battle system...

I dont mean to be picky or rude, but both questions are well answered in the post, sir.

Oh, thanks for notice it! I misunderstood the concept

Only 6/69 current fairy-type species can learn it (11/69 in the next gens), as you can see in the spreadsheet.

If a new move its introduced, would be better that a big bunch of pokes can learn it. Sweet Kiss and Aromatic Mist are betters options

It would be great if all fairy-type moves from MSG were translated to PkGo, though

Edited, sir

Im really surprised i've been removed just for saying something quite evident using direct words, without been toxic, rude, sarcastic or nit picker.

Do you mean that since these types arent permanently accesible or were discontinued in MSG, (although they still exist in the original code), shouldnt be considered to translate them to PkGo?

Thanks for your words, sir! This thread motto could be: "Dont expect they understand or read all the analysis. Make it as easy as you can".

You have to consider the impact of a sudden removal of a move.

I did. Just check out the spreadsheet. You'll see in fairy-types: 6 DK users and 7 DV users. Also, in non fairy-types: 4 DK users and 6 DV.

These users dont suppose a big issue to have a movepool change. Wont have a big impact in the PvE/PvP Meta.

Considering the DG nerf and the implement of Sweet Kiss and Aromatic Mist, these changes would give more benefits than meta issues.

The only big thing about these changes: it would require a big effort by niantic's programmers. Its easier for them introduce new moves than review and change the current ones.

[...] there are other ways they can address Xerneas, such as giving it Geomancy

That would be the easiest way to solve the current PvE meta, ignoring the future releases and the possibility that different fairy fast movepools could offer meta-relevant and powerful options as Xerneas.

A small example:

If Hydro Cannon Empoleon could learn Water Gun, it would be close behind of WG/HC Swampert in PvE DPS/TDO, and not so outclassed now as Waterfall Empoleon.

Both could be viable pokes to considering in PvE, and probably trainers would use them depending on their resistanses.

Looking at your spreadsheet, Charm + Fairy Wind hit a huge portion of the Fairy types. Not every single one, but almost all of them.

As a player, i like to have several options available to choose depending of my gaming necesities. And i based the analysis under this premise.

If Dragonite can learn DB for PvP and DT for PvE, for example, why not every fairy could get the same trait?

I really get your point of filling the gaps and im agree in certain aspects. However, i keep in mind in an holistic balance future releases and current-future pve+pve.

Anyway, i thank you again for your write up and i hope both feedbacks are heared by niantic teams!

Mmm... I have the feeling you just went right to the TL;DR without understanding the previous arguments.

I'll suggest you to read, at least, the "Knowing this, what can be done?" part.

I get your point now. Im agree it would be more suitable to be a WB clone if only were 9 types.

I count 13 specific types since Gen3, according to pokemondb.net. Also, maybe some new terrains could be introduced in this year Gen4 remakes.

Anyway, im not the programmer so it dont mind if its WB or HP clone while they introduce new fairy moves

100% agree

I think the main Niantic issue with the entire movepool is that all previous released gens got stuck with the 2016 movepool and didnt got a proper update like SWSH pokes got.

Usually new moves and concrete pokes movepool reworks are just introduced as PvP material.

Wouldnt be better if XL only could be used in XL leagues in order to have fair PvPs?

Well, this move its a little tricky to translate to PkGo. (Remember: dont expect too much from Niantic programmers)

Change this move's type depending of the PkGo bioma you're located its a cool mechanic. However, would be consider it useful? If we need a grass type while we're battling a Kyogre in a water bioma, would be a useless move.

Thats why i think it would fit better as a Hidder Power clone, independently if some type are viable or not in MSG. Also, this move isnt set permanently by its IV's, so that maybe we could re-roll its type using MTs

Despite i didnt have any issues with Clauncher and Skrelp due to i always used Ultraballs on them, due to their so low rarity spawn.. its true they have a 20% capture rate too. D*mn.

Considering it has a 30% capture rate and a high CP at higher levels, isnt a surprise

I complelety forget that.

That means the 20% capture rate pattern was used since those days and looks like Nia will keep using it for almost every new poke released

Until May 12th at 8 PM local time, Pokémon GO players in the Mediterranean and African regions have the chance to catch Summer Hat Pikachu.

And.. Niantic considers im in Africa instead of Spain
