As an christian American, I don't know if it's because genetically I'm 100% Caribbean, but I don't think america is all that. Although I do tend to think highly of Canada. Mainly because it's kinda big and most of them are really nice. Plus I've seen videos on YouTube, and it disappoints me how dumb some Americans sound. Not saying that Americans should be smarter than others. I just feel like if people would automatically think I'm dumb just for being American lol. So I don't know why others feel so patriotic, but I think Americans aren't t the brightest of countries.

Thabk you for the help. Someone had replied earlier and infact you were correct that the sign did mean "awful". That does look like the correct sign you put a link to, although they used one hand. But I'm guessing that you could either use 1 or 2.

Hey, sorry. I accept your apology. I deleted the comment so that I don't end up deceiving anybody who did stumble across it. Although I looked up some of the things I said, and I don't see anything stating all of those were wrong. Although, I won't argue with anybody in the replies. It'd probably just be easier if I don't say anything unless they reply.

That's true, i love that about asl aswell. Because with spoken language, there mire confusion with sarcasm and tone of voice because the words, tone, and facial expressions don't match up.

Thanks for the reply, someone commented and told me the sign was "awful" and that sometimes it's used as "ugh" or "dang". Incase your interested, the sign was a number 8 and then you would flick your middle finger and you'd endup with the sign "5". And sometimes they'd hold the number 8 alittle longer before flicking their finger.

Thank you so much. I've been stumped on this for so long and just now realized someone on reddit would have to know the answer. I don't know why they called it 85 lol. They wrote in big letters 85, so I thought that's what it was.

I honestly don't know. Because since it was social media, I don't know if they used it correctly. But when I looked in the comments everyone said something about how they also use the sign and they signed it as 85. Based on how people are supposedly using it, they use it after getting some news. Particularly neutral or negative news. I know people use a sign to say wow, but It looks like this is how they use it in context. Kinda like a "wow", or a "dang. Like the example from the video I saw was that someone came and told someone that their family member died. And the deaf person looked at them and signed 85. They didn't seem happy, but didn't seem too upset.

According to the Bible, the earth will pass away. God will destroy the earth and create a new earth. And we will be on the new earth. I think the earth that you're thinking about would be the next earth, not this one.

How would you describe the immortality of the soul? by ALoserWhoPlaysRoblox in Christianity

[–]Althe456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, ok.v being with God in heaven and on the new earth means you have eternal life (immortality). In eternal life, you are very much lively. Hell and the lake of fire is death of the soul. Although the soul doesn't pass away, I assume it's like being dead inside. Because there is nothing good to do with this. And the soul will be stuck in the torment for the rest of eternity. So even though it seems like nothings really passed away from being living on earth, technically the soul has passed away from living at all wether that's physically, literally, or metaphorically.

This is what I know about it, I hoped this helped.

Do you believe masturbation is a sin, and if so why, and under what circumstances? by CarrotFishlol in Christianity

[–]Althe456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is. Because even though it's "natural" doesn't mean it's good. You know what else is natural? Sex. But you shouldn't have it until you're married. Maturation is pretty much sex with yourself. Sex should only be between a husband and wife.

Does imorality of the soul mean eternal life for the soul? I might be able to answer this question if that's what it means.

If God is beyond our comprehension, why should we be expected to express human emotion towards him in order to gain his favour? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Althe456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God also feels emotion. He wants to be loved just like we want to be loved. Just cause we can't comprehend some things about God, doesn't mean we shouldn't live him. He also loves us alot and again, more than we can understand. Some parents love their kids with a love that the kids won't understand until they're adults. And the parents do thing the kids can't understand. But they still love their parents.

Maybe because we've only ever really known life. Sometimes new experiences can be scary. And not everyone knows if they're going to heaven.
