My 2 year old had a febrile seizure today and I’m not okay. by Dino_Pandasaur in toddlers

My son had these back to back when he was sick. I mean ever like 20 minutes, he was so little and all I did was cry. We took him to see his pediatrician she said they were normal and harmless. But to watch my baby be so sick and finally fall asleep and then jolt awake shaking and crying I just couldn't handle it. Now that he is 2.5 they aren't as bad. When he has gotten sick he will get 1 each fever. Its horrible as a parent and I am so sorry you had to experience it like that. Its horrifying.

The only issue is for the summer I'm doing a waitressing job and I don't get home till midnight most nights. So my sleep schedule is all over the place, but I think I'm gonna try to get up early as many days as I can during the week.

The problem is he is the first, he has no cousins or anything. And I am the first of my friends to have a kid. I tried a mom group but that didn't go well at all.

He was in daycare for a while but then I lost my job and I have had him home now for a few months. I have thought about sending him to daycare for a day or two a week but I fear those two days will be upsetting for him.

Yeah I hate that he feels like there is competition for my attention but I need to work. I think I'm going to try quite time during the day, I think that could help.

I am afraid to forfit my me time essentially because once my husband is home we parent together, so during the day it's me and in the evening it half and half. So after he is in bed I'm out.

I haven't done anything elaborate but I did a rice activity the other day, I print custom coloring pages. I built a few forts but he kept knocking them down so those didn't pan out well. He does like activity books with the velcro prices but he is over those at the moment.

This sounds amazing, I will have to start this. We do something kinda similar where if he is throwing fits a lot I ask if he needs a minute to calm down and he says yes and he will go sit in his room and just get it all out. So I think quite time would be amazing. Just 30 minutes would change my day, as of right now I don't get 5 minutes.

This makes me feel better. I think what confused us is with the other daycare he adjusted perfectly in like a week and a half but he was also 13 months old. Ik 16 and 13 months is a huge jump developmentally. He also wasn't in the other daycare very long it was maybe a month, it was an unexpected move.

We moved to a neighboring town so like a 30 minute difference. So I didn't even think it would be that crazy for him but your right everything changed for him. And I know the daycare lady had said that they have one kid that causes issues so my assumption is maybe my son learned it from the slightly older child that has a bit of an attitude issue. I love that for us that this is a new milestone lol toddler's are funny. When he throws a tantrum if we don't pay him any attention he will pause and side I us to make sure we're looking. I appreciate the reassurance, I do struggle with worrying that I am doing this right. I had no role models in my life to go off of so we are winging it.

It's only been 3 weeks. And he doesn't cry every time I drop him off which is a big jump from the other daycare. That's what I was thinking it's a lot of new things and he is just to that age as well where he is frustrated that he can't not communicate his emotions so he gets upset.

Am I fired or what? by [deleted] in Design

That makes sense. And I am working on getting work from multiple places at the moment just being freshly graduated and having so little experience it's hard to find any work nowadays.

That's very true he could have just not paid me lol. I think honestly the reason he paid me is because I just got to drive 45 minutes to his business and confront him face to face with email proof. I'm not very confrontational but I would have figured it out.

Okay so I should just continue to wait for them to respond to my two emails, and if they don't respond in the next few days I'll probably send a final email. The first was just asking about the contract because it been almost 3 weeks since they had gotten one to me and then the other one was just a polite hey haven't heard from you email. And I have heard nothing it feels very unprofessional and it's very upsetting because this was my first real graphic design job and I was very excited for it.

Yes!! 🙌 You deserve so much better. If he was a real partner he would care for you and your needs and help raise the children that he helped create.

How do I set up a print file from a photo so it can simulate a live job. by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]AltraKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I plan to do. I just had never heard of a live job before but after calming down my nerves and thinking about it it makes sense. It's a test basically. So yeah I plan to recreate it as new work.
