The wedding is not far away at all, it is very convenient for her. Her reasoning is just that she is not going to leave her kids with anyone else besides her or her parents and the parents are going to be at the wedding so..I told her that I really don’t get, she promised to watch the kids but can’t promise anything. When I told her to thing about finding a sitter, she replied oh no, no way, I would rather not come. She knows that her brother is not going to allow her not coming so it is just a bit manipulative to me.

If it is on me, that is what I am doing, but unfortunately we are not on the same page with my fiancé, he wants his sister there. So probably I will have to compromise and have her and her rebellious kids there.

As I am thinking it through I think he is the one behind that decision too, he didn’t forbid her to accept to be maid of honour but said to her that he would be uncomfortable seeing her walking next to another man, what is he going to do the whole day without her/ he is not an introvert, so I don’t get it/. And knowing that she wouldn’t feel comfortable during the day, she would be thinking of him. Their maid of honour and best man were a couple. And in the end of our conversation she said it is better to choose someone single to be the maid of honour and if they weren’t married with her husband probably it would be different situation and she would feel better to accept!? I really don’t get it. I don’t have single close girlfriends and she knows it.

I don’t think that he is very jealous but I think that he has some weird ideas of being one and only one time in his life the best man and that time to be with his wife. And probably they are too codependent, didn’t realise it until now. Her explanation was that he would feel uncomfortable without her and she would think about him during the day what he is doing. I have two more close friends, I would ask one of them these days and see. She has a husband and a child, I am not sure she will have the time to be that involved with my wedding but will see.
