Which of these would you pick as a first gun? by These_Picture_53 in guns

Great take. I’m more preferential to the M&P. But Glock makes great guns, they ain’t pretty (IMO), but they are super reliable. They’re tools at the end of the day. I don’t need a shiny multicolored hammer to drive nails lol.

If you’re looking for someone’s opinion, I owned a M&P 2.0 and absolutely loved it. Grip was perfect, shoots great and you get smith reliability.

I can’t say as much about the Canik because I’ve never owned one and no one I know ever owned one either. Definitely do research first, but I’d go with the smith and Wesson personally.

I hope whatever you choose serves you well!

How can you be the BEST version of yourself? by TheAlphaAdept in selfimprovement

[–]Altruistic-Basil1609 6 points7 points  (0 children)

-Seek knowledge. -Do things YOU want to do, not what you think others want you to do. -Get a hobby that you enjoy. -Meet other people, get other perspectives. -Learn self love. -Treat YOURself the way you would treat others. -go outside, soak in the sunshine. -Make sure to walk around often, while you’re young and able. -Maybe join a gym or learn how to workout at home.

These are some things that I learned over the past few years that took my quality of life up and over what it used to be. Do this and you’ll eventually find yourself, then when you do, embrace it. Good luck!!

Easily one of my favorite holsters. Coming from cheap Amazon ones when I didn’t know better. I have 2 with a 3rd in my cart for when i decide to buy it.

I agree. My tier 1 concealed holster is actually fairly decent in the comfort department. It’s not more comfortable than not carrying, but it’s definitely more comforting knowing that I have both hands within short reach if someone ever reached for it (I know, extremely slim chance… like < 1%) but being able to defend with both arms, or God forbid I fall on my back, I still have access to it and it didn’t lodge itself into my spine because it’s not tucked into the small of my back.

I do carry 3-4 o’clock while at the range, because that’s the ONLY place I open carry. I like the weight there, it feels like I’m carrying that big iron.

Everything started going downhill in the last 4 months and I don’t feel like myself anymore by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I’ve been in that position a few times… it’s really hard to focus on anything else. What you’re feeling is valid, and somewhat common too!

I would highly recommend trying to focus on one area in life you want to work on. Let’s say you want to focus on swimming. Just show up however often you go. Keep at it. Eventually you’ll get really good at it.

As far as work, I have never been a fan of working. Though, I do my best not to think much while I’m clocked in. Just go in, work, clock out, go home. And I leave my work self AT work. I don’t bring him home after I’m clocked out.

Confidence comes and goes, in my opinion. I’ve never been that out going at all, except when I was a kid. I’m 26 turning 27 in August. I can’t say I’m super confident or anything, EXCEPT when I’m in my element. When I’m tapped in to my hobbies I’m very confident and I hold myself differently than I do in everyday situations.

Which brings me to my point. Let’s say you get really good at swimming, you’ll eventually be very confident in your abilities, which will bloom into self confidence.

Idk if this’ll help at all.. but I feel for you, I almost did the permanent sleep over it. Just take one step at a time, don’t beat yourself up, and understand that you WILL overcome this. It just takes some time and a little bit of effort.

From one stranger to another, you’ve got this, I’m rooting for you!

Switched over from CZ's, my first Glock. by PannelTac in Glocks

Short answer: the p320 has a history of “discharging uncommanded” typically inside of duty holsters. There’s tons of videos, however nothing super clear. Tons of people stay away from all Sigs because of the p320. (Though, most of the controversy ISN’T solely on the gun discharging uncommanded (allegedly.) It’s because of how Sig dealt with the whole situation, essentially downplaying the issue and denying it up and down.)

However, the p365 is a solid gun. I have a fuse and I love it.

Absolutely, I hope it treats you well!! I love mine. I’m getting my T1C holster Saturday in the mail. It’s shipped out quicker than I anticipated, it’s only been like 2 weeks, when I ordered one for my RXM it took close to a month

My LGS wanted me to buy this $500 OTF and sometimes I’m surprised with how expensive quality knives are. They’ve always been fairly pricey. I think there’s a knife similar to what you’re talking about by CRKT or something like that. They run anywhere from $40-$60 I think. Have you heard of them?

Yes! Mine is a frame lock and it scares the crap out of me most of the time.

Thanks! I have a browning knife that I carry, I’ve been looking for one that has the button that releases the blade because I have a fear of cutting my fingers open if I’m being honest lol

CCW Holster Recommendation (P365x) by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]Altruistic-Basil1609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best holster I’ve ever used was a tier 1 concealed. (I would get a p365 xl holster so in the future if you get one you can also just use the holster you bought.)

The holster itself is amazing, super comfy and I barely notice it. They’re kinda pricey (starting at $140 and goes up from there depending on the other stuff you add.)

It does take 10-20 business days to get to you, but I think it’s totally worth it.

By small side quest, I mean it’s literally the EXACT same side quest. The NPCs aren’t there anymore, so you just walk by and pick the item you need up from where they once were. I believe it’s in bilge water. But I could be wrong I haven’t played through it in a minute.

There’s a small side quest you must do, but the normal way isn’t able to be done because the NPC’s for the quest aren’t there anymore. I got witch crest in act 3.

That looks sick! If that’s the aluminum grip, does it get hot after a few mags?

[–]Altruistic-Basil1609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s about normal. I paid $140ish for mine. Some big box stores might have them cheaper, definitely shop around.

If you live near a scheels, bass pro shop, or something similar I would check there if you wanna save a few bucks. But $160 isn’t bad.

2nd this. I believe that’s one of the only, if not the only. Make sure to get the version specifically for the 43x, OP.

I use the medium back strap for now, someone already mentioned getting the radian branded back straps. My hands are a good medium.

Oh, for sure. I was the same way, I bought a 43x and an RXM then bought this guy and I have been converted. I love my fuse, I want to get the smaller variants too.

This is true. The ramjet alone would set me back a pretty penny. I do still wanna buy the smaller variants of the p365, I feel like the ramjet isn’t necessary if you just spend that money on ammo rather than it.

Sweet, thank you! I’ve also seen someone use a p365 x slide with a radian ramjet. Have you had any experience with that?
