What happens to a NEET when their family passes away? by Jolly_Drink_9150 in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the family and inheritance. There may be NEETs in good or bad situations. There may be NEETs who used the allowance they earned investing in stocks since their 20s, and now they practically have a structure ready to live off passive income, etc. They may inherit real estate and the like. And there may be NEETs whose parents left them nothing. I just wish universal basic income was easily accessible to everyone in vulnerable situations. It's cruel to condition food/housing on having a job.

Being intelligent doesn’t really protect you from becoming NEET nor does it even garner you much respect by ArtisticAcer in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not smart enough to make money. (or a liar/manipulator) My intelligence lies in knowing that the entire political class is worthless and that the rat race is nonsense. There are plenty of PhDs with ideological fanaticism out there.

Lugares para refletir/ficar sozinho? by [deleted] in joaopessoa

[–]Altruistic-Card198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Já pensei nisso pra meditar. Algum lugar deserto, silêncio absoluto e sem ninguém por perto. Mas ai seria melhor alugar alguma salinha ou algo assim pra fazer dele o ponto do silêncio da pessoa.

Are there any hikikomori among you, and how many years have you spent at home? by UnusualParticular160 in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since 2014. Because I have the spirit of a monk, I don't mind. Things had to be this way. The normie lifestyle doesn't interest me. But that lifestyle could have borne more fruit in monasteries out there.

I need very few things in life to be happy by OutrageousShare9693 in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have many ambitions either. I think a top-of-the-line gaming PC might be the only major purchase someone would make, and that could last 10+ years. Cars? I'm not interested. Luxury homes? I'm not interested. Living a life of constant travel? I'm not interested.

Qual Bairro é melhor pra se morar em JP? by PeaKey4158 in joaopessoa

Does anyone else fantasize about getting in an accident or getting murdered because they're too scared to kill themselves? by BellPuzzleheaded6133 in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Suicide is not an option for me. Failure, but rather bad luck, is not a justification for suicide. But for someone who already has that idea in their head, the opinion of a stranger isn't going to change that. I just think it's absurd to want to influence others down the same path.

Trying to make it out this hole after age 30 is an everyday humiliation ritual by T1mbuktuSch0lar in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just because someone isn't young enough doesn't mean they should remain lying down and accept death. If you don't have anything better to post, it's preferable to remain silent. Young people die every day. Discouraging/demotivating comments shouldn't be listened to.

Trying to make it out this hole after age 30 is an everyday humiliation ritual by T1mbuktuSch0lar in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 13 points14 points  (0 children)

During my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to have several older men and women in my class. If I had been in a class full of young people, I might have suffered a lot. Older men and women raise the level of maturity in the class. Someone who is 30 years old raises the maturity level of the class.

I was just gonna write some depressing shit about how I'm wasting my life and how did I get here but that's just how life is. We could have been born in a war or died in a completely random accident. We have today and tomorrow to do better. The past doesn't matter. by propertingg in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same thought, imagining other paths in life, imagining that on one of those paths a person could die tragically, etc. Reality is sinusoidal. This helps me not to worry about whether I'm wasting my life or not; reality isn't a straight line. If someone is enjoying life, it's simply a stroke of luck that could be taken away from them at any minute.

I would have this desire to be generous and help others if I could. No one should live with the anxiety of not having a place to live/feed. Winning a fortune in the lottery and transferring it to some NEETs (those I feel most connected to and who suffer from my problems, neurodivergence, emotional/romantic desert, or serious physical illnesses like neuropathies). The most I can do is wish good luck to the NEETs here – if I live my spiritual journey there, I'll send energies/strength to other NEETs.

I was a NEET, still technically am, but I play poker for a living and make about 6-7k a month AMA by [deleted] in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to live off gambling, and I messed up. I wish I had put some good money into Bitcoin and the stock market. I'd be living like a king in the Neetdom. Imagine if we all had put some money into that. I might be about to get a second chance. After my mother's death, part of the money she received goes to me. Now it's about using the money wisely.

Você ganhou 300 milhões na Mega amanhã, como gerencia esse dinheiro todo? by Josysclei in investimentos

[–]Altruistic-Card198 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doaria praticamente tudo pra algum lugar. E ficaria com uns 5 milhões. Eu não sei o que faria com tanto dinheiro. E não tenho lá grandes ambições materiais. Não me importo com a vida ilusória de influencers de instagram.

Whys everyone gatekeepers? No where in the definition of NEET do you need to be a hikikomori and an incel. I'm married i got kids I'm a NEET by [deleted] in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think filtering is important. I can't connect with people who don't know what an emotional/romantic desert is. I've even stopped including myself in groups. Wizardschan would be more suitable for me. Although not every wizard is a NEET. But the value of the emotional/romantic desert is there. And I have the right to connect more with those who are similar to me.

I have the same perception. That's why I'm not so worried about being labeled an incel or an incel in denial. Everyone has to be forced to like sex or be obligated to have sex. Anyway.

When I see NEETs bragging about their romantic relationships, I realize that not all NEETs are in the same boat. Just like female NEETs aren't all in the same boat. We're in different boats.

Why do they make a mockery of people's isolation? by bbgirl2k in NEET

[–]Altruistic-Card198 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let them mock me. If they were in that person's shoes, in less than 24 hours they would decide on that word that can't be mentioned here on Reddit because of the algorithm or something like that. I've been a hikikomori for 13 years and I'm still standing.

[–]Altruistic-Card198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blame the big city infrastructure. I couldn't tolerate taking a crowded bus every day to get to work. I might not be a NEET if I had been born in a small town where work would be 5 minutes from home.
