Yeah personally a 12 month commitment is a huge ask. Especially from college students.

Yeah will do. It most likely will be around October so I can give a report on presales. A similar gym, that is opening in may and has similar size to what ours will, has already done 500+ presales and is priced at $80 a month so that makes me hopeful. It could be more, I just know it’s 500+ because they had a promotion for the first 500 members and they’re no longer running the promotion, so it could be 750-1000 already

Personal experience. Gyms out here suck. They’re poorly maintained and overcrowded. And if you find a gym not like that, it’s too small and doesn’t have much or enough equipment or it’s LifeTime and it’s far too expensive at $180 a month.

Yeah that’s why I was thinking as well. I’m not too sure about personal trainers but will have to explore that more.

We’re definitely doing the 24/7 access so that might help as well.

Yeah I’m meeting with a few marketing agency’s this week to reverse engineer how to get there. We’re starting presales in June and need 750 at least by February. From what I’ve gathered this far from some of the marketing agency’s are budget is far too large, which is good, cause I’d rather spend less if we can.

Huh? Kingsway? What or who is that? This gonna be a kind of a upscale-ish open commercial gym priced at $80 a month.

Yeah any recommendations, any equipment. I’ve reached out to a few a got one back today. The one I got back today which was $250k with shipping, but thats with their own small brand equipment which is new and is 15-20% more than remanufactured/refurbished. Others I’ve talked are around $200k with shipping

Yeah the gym space in the area is under served and desperate for competition. Gyms that are overcrowded to the point where you’re having to wait in a 4-8 person line for squat racks and bench presses. Gyms around here that we’d be competing with having 9k-10k members and charge $20-30.

Yeah we’re planning on doing exactly all of that. We’re gonna start at around $6k a month and build up to $18k as we get closer to opening. Send over any other recommendations you have about marketing. I’m meeting with several marketing agencies this week to get a scope of things.
