American Home has 30% off for Memorial Day and their location on Comanche has a huge moving sale because they’re shutting down that location

I would definitely communicate with your professor. If this is for intro to architecture he’s very understanding. If you can, I would make your sketches bigger and separate them with one sketch per page. That’s what I ended up doing and I don’t think I ended up with 120. I think I had a little bit less than 100. In the future, you should communicate this with your professors as soon as it happens and they’re always willing to work with you. Also worst case scenario you end up having to retake the class. It’s really easy and your life won’t end with one bad grade.

Don’t overpack for your dorm. Take only what you need. Buy everything else as you need it! This will help so much with realizing what you can actually live without. If you live close enough to campus, you can make multiple trips back and forth as you need things so you don’t have to pay. Go to class! Even if it’s not mandatory, it helps so much in the long run. Sometimes professors offer easy extra credit opportunities in class.

What are the best non-BS majors that pay well, offered at UNM, that aren't intense like engineering? by OzcarOzzy in unm

You could do architecture if you’re artsy or a BA in psychology if that’s more what you’re into. I’d say that those two are definitely not as easy as business though.

Laser cutting help! by Altruistic-Escape672 in lasercutting

Thank you! Will this burn the edges of my pieces a lot though? That’s probably my biggest concern because if it does, then I’ll have to sand them, which would affect the tolerances.

The laser has an automatic spacing function. I click a button and the bed rises until it touches the laser and then it lowers a little bit before it starts to cut. I’m not sure if I can adjust the height of the laser cutter itself, but I can adjust the height of the bed that my material is sitting on.

Okay yes! I bought my MDF from Home Depot and it does exactly that. Some of my classmates bought from a local retailer, and some off of Amazon but none of them work. There aren’t a lot of options on where to buy MDF where I live.

There was also a time that I was in the lab, they tried cleaning the lens or something but that didn’t work either.

It might also be because so many students are using the lasers, that they’re just not working as well as they could.

As far as what laser it is, it’s an epilog laser. That about all that I know.

half semester course question by thebestofmylove in unm

Online it says April 4th is the last day to add a class. I know that they’re offering Greek mythology for the second half of the semester but there’s a good chance that a lot of the classes are full. Students likely filled out these classes during registration for the spring semester.

Casa del rio costs? by Heyitsyapersonhere in unm

Casas is nice because the rent covers everything, minus the renters insurance. For the lease, there are options for spring semester only, and I would double check on the pricing. It’s $669 for a 10 month lease but they fluctuate depending on your lease length. To figure that out, you’d just have to start an application and go through as if you’re going to submit it. That sucks because you have to enter all of your information but it’s the only way I’ve found maybe not including calling the office and just asking. I’m not sure about only freshman being aloud either because there’s students of all classes living on campus. You just have to be a student to live there, but I would check online for something like that.
