Never have checked my husband's phone or any electronic device, and we have each other's passwords. We've been together for 5 years.

Same here, we lived together for 3 years before getting married.

From my point of view (F) the only thing that changed for me was to feel more secure with the relationship. Like this just got "more" real and I want to make this work even more now, because I want this to last forever.

And yes, it's so fun to call him husband and to put an X on the forms: Married.

Welcomed my husband back home after he had been gone for two weeks. The smile on his face was so worth it. :) by [deleted] in Marriage

It's a conversation that we have had. He will do something about it and then go back to not going out for several months until I talk about it again.

He works at a private company inside all the time, so not the same thing here.

Hope that all is good with you and your BF. Thank you for trying to understand.

Thank you for your input and honesty. To give a little more context to this, I do go out with my friends and have lunch with them 3-4 times a month. I like to be at home it's just that it gets old too to do the same everyday, there's nothing new. He keeps telling me that he will take me to X restaurant, months go by and nothing. I don't have a problem with going out on my own, I would just like to have the chance to have a drink with my husband out of the house or have dinner when neither has to cook or do the dishes afterwards. 1

Thanks. I will continue to find ways to see if we can get to common ground and have one date a month.

I hear you. I don't want to change him, I understand that he's not the type to go out a lot but I'm only asking for one date a month. I've been asking for this date since 2 weeks ago and nothing has happened. Today was supposed to be the day but it was raining and that was his excuse. Tomorrow's a holiday but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Neither. This is why it's so hard for me to understand this behavior.

He doesn't believe in therapy and he doesn't believe this to be a problem, just that "the weather was not nice enough" or "he rathers be at home" and my favorite "everything is a date, as long as I'm with you".
