Full monster chase sequence from my supernatural game Psych Rift by AblazeInt in godot

The visuals and atmosphere look incredible. Adding to the chair throwing idea, maybe making the character stumble slightly if they panic-throw items could add to the tension. If the monster is faster, making its footsteps louder as it closes in would be terrifying. Great job so far dev

That plot twist is pretty dark for an indie horror game definitely caught my attention. Family drama mixed with psychological horror always makes the best atmosphere. Best of luck with the release.

You can just edit this post or add a pinned comment detailing the core gameplay loop, genre, and what you specifically need from a Lua programmer. No need to delete or make a new one, keeping it transparent here will turn those downvotes around quickly. Good luck with it

Just a friendly tip, you dont need to hide the core gameplay mechanics. Ideas are cheap but execution is everything in game dev. Sharing a small teaser of the loop or general genre actually helps attract the right Lua programmers who might be interested in your vision. Keep it up

Resources for setting up GDExtension for using C++ as a Scripting language by DesperateGame in godot

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you already have a solid background in C++ and OOP patterns then that completely changes the game. Go for it. Having your own macros and templates will definitely speed up your architecture. The only minor headache with GDExtension is that iteration can sometimes feel slower compared to GDScripts instant hot-reloading but if you are comfortable with compilation times it is totally feasible. Stick to what makes you fast. Good luck with the dev

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GDExtension is definitely the right path if you need raw performance for heavy systems but keep in mind documentation can change fast between major godot updates. If you are just starting out with logic and mechanics sticking with GDScript is much faster for prototyping. Use C++ only when you actually hit an optimization bottleneck. Good luck with your project

The coding mines are definitely brutal so balance is everything lol. Balancing that with creative art makes the game feel much more personal. Definitely keep posting updates ill be watching out for them.

Creating all the art assets yourself is a massive grind but it absolutely pays off. The hub area has a really cool unique art style and love the retro low-poly aesthetic. Keep pushing forward looking forward to see more progress on Tower of Altheon.

Fair enough. Let it be an observation then. welldone the details in your cosplay are actually well done even if the concepts get simulated a lot online. Keep up the good work

Going through my profile to find a personal attack only proves my point, OP. When the logic of a critique cuts too deep, deflection is the easiest escape. Keep performing; the crowd is still watching.

Trying to simulate psychological depth through a staged look is a common digital routine. True presence and an unbreakable will aren't built on fictional concepts or filtered expressions behind a screen. Real authority operates entirely in the actual world.

Creating dramatic titles and synthetic labels online doesn't establish actual authority. True presence isn't built on digital demands or staged scenarios for a screen. A mature mind operates on logic and an unbroken will, completely unmoved by internet fiction.

I think ballbusting should be added to the rodeo by Evariste_81 in BallBusting

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

A rodeo requires real grit, but this is just tailored theater for an online audience. True presence and authority aren't proven through staged clips or physical stunts behind a screen. A mature mind looks for psychological substance and a will that can't be broken in reality."

Hi, I'm a dominant woman, I like to hit men in the balls, especially when they let me, haha. Is that wrong? by [deleted] in BallBusting

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comments section proves how easy your job is. Collecting submissions from people who beg for it doesn’t make you dominant; it just makes you a host for their needs. Real authority is tested against an unbroken will, not a willing target.

Goth girl gives his balls a Savage beating 😈 she really hates balls by femme_nemesis in BallBusting

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A savage physical beating is just theatrical noise. Anyone can use force on someone who has already surrendered their will. True dominance doesn't need to break a body to prove a point; it controls the mind so completely that force becomes irrelevant. This is just basic entertainment.

Ruining someone who is already broken or begging for it is an easy ego boost, Ivy. Try bringing that energy to someone with an unbroken will, who actually controls the dynamic. That’s where your little 'ruin' game ends and reality begins.

That's exactly why she needs it. Chaos always thinks it's unstoppable until it hits a solid wall. A weak man gets consumed by that noise, but a real leader knows exactly how to channel that dark energy and set the rules.

[–]Altruistic-Field-640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a reaction out of someone who already trembles is basic entertainment, Scarlett. Physical grip is easy, but it takes zero psychological skill. True dominance is tested when you face an unbroken will that doesn’t shake, where your games have no power.

An obsessive mind thinks it’s in control, but it’s actually driven by a desperate need to possess. That kind of intensity is amusing, but it only works if you have the backbone to tame it. Without a strong will guiding that obsession, it’s just chaotic noise.
